We will have a BYO morning tea at Elizabeth Sloper Gardens Palm Beach before we leave. Tamborine Next Meeting The next meeting will be held on Monday 27th February 2017 at the Hinterland Hotel, 53 Station Street Nerang starting at 7.00pm. All members and Guests are welcome.

3 You re Invited to join a small convoy of classic car enthusiasts on a visit to the GOSFORD CLASSIC CAR MUSEUM The invitation is extended to members of four clubs, Jaguar Drivers Club of Queensland Summerland Sports and Classic Car Club, Lismore Cadillac La Salle Club of Australia (Gold Coast) *Pony Car Club of Australia (Gold Coast It will be a 3 to 4 day affair, from Wednesday 22 nd March The arrangements will be for a casual drive down the coast, with no package deals or pre-payments required. The agenda would go something like this:- Wednesday, March am Meet at the Chindera BP/ McDonalds Service Centre for a 10.00am departure. Travel to Pt Macquarie. Wednesday Evening Pre-arrange your own choice of accommodation, with the possibility of a meeting and/or group dinner with the local Pt Macquarie Antique and Classic Car Club. Thursday, March am Assemble at BP Gateway Service Centre at the Pacific Highway turnoff to Pt Macquarie for departure at 10.00am for the run down to Gosford. Thursday Evening Again, pre-arrange your own choice of accommodation. Friday, March am Meet up at the Gosford Classic Car Museum located at 3-13 Stockyard Place, West Gosford. (gosfordclassiccarmuseum.com.au) Take whatever time you need to do justice to the amazing car collection. We will probably arrange for a group lunch at the Museum. Friday afternoon Flexible arrangements, for you to further explore the surrounding area OR to commence your journey home. For those members intending to attend the Jaguar National Rally, there will be time to travel to Port Stephens and book in for the welcome dinner on Friday night. 4 MONTHLY MEETING JAGUAR DRIVERS CLUB OF QUEENSLAND INC. GOLD COAST REGISTER HELD AT HINTERLAND HOTEL NERANG QLD. 30 th January 2017 The meeting was opened at 7.15 pm by the Chairman Terry Cooper who welcomed all members and guests. Apologies: Ken & Lorraine Laws, Dick & Lorraine Kennedy, Steve Duncan, Sandy S, Lyn & West Evers, Ruth Willmott and Joan Gracie. Moved Ron Gaudion Seconded - Ray Howlett. Minutes of JDCQ Committee Meetings - 9 th and 26 th January 2017 Discussion on current committee positions at JDCQ in Brisbane. Proposed a levee towards paying an administrator of JDCQ to overcome the difficulty of work load restricting people taking on office positions. Alternatively change the Queensland Jaguar Driver Magazine to a low-cost publication to allow diversion of funds to assist the like of the Secretariat. Remove the Brisbane Register to reinstate the previous Brisbane committee for JDCQ. Moved Gwen Howlett Seconded Debbie Duncan. Issues discussed at monthly meeting and vote passed unanimously by all present. Letter of appreciation to Tony Herald for again stepping into role of President. Agreed unanimously. Signed proxy voting forms for changes to constitution to be scanned and ed directly to Tony Herald. Meeting Closed at 8.48 pm John Porter Secretary Ray, Terry and John Relaxing on Australia Day Vale Glennis Munis of Mt. Isa. Glennis passed away on 4 th February after a short illness. Glennis, together with her husband Frank have been members of the JDCQ since 14 th March Although living in Mt Isa they attended many JDCQ functions and National Rallies in their E Type coupe. They have been members of the Gold Coast Register for a number of years and Glennis will be missed by all who knew her.
