1 Community Bulletin #76 JKC Australia LNG Pty Ltd (JKC) Manigurr-ma Palmerston partnership showcases city It s hoped that Manigurr-ma Village residents will be enticed to Palmerston following the production of an information booklet and a collaborative partnership between JKC, ESS Larrakia and the Palmerston Regional Business Association (PRBA). The booklet, which showcases the variety of services that the PRBA s 500 members can offer, was specially produced for workers staying at Manigurr-ma Village. When delivering the booklets to Manigurr-ma this week PRBA President Wayne Zerbe said members were delighted to have access to residents and hoped they would be enticed to the city during their stay in the Top End. We hope residents make the most of local attractions and business solutions during their time around Palmerston. Operators of the Manigurr-ma Village have offered to place one booklet in each room in the collaborative partnership. The PRBA has been around for 16 years and was established JKC s Deputy Operations Manager David Wilson with Palmerston Regional Business Association president Wayne Zerbe and ESS Larrakia Project Manager Tony Treloar. to promote and support local business and the community. 2 Milestone concrete pour for Leighton Contractors in main civil works An important milestone in the main civil works package being delivered by Leighton Contractors was reached last week when the first concrete base was poured for one of eight compressor tables in the LNG trains area at Blaydin Point. The pour was the culmination of months of planning and coordination by Leighton Contractors trains construction team. The continuous pour of 245 cubic metres of concrete was supplied by 35 concrete trucks, delivering 50 cubic metres of concrete per hour. For a pour of this volume, 20.7 tonnes of ice was required to cool the concrete. The ice was supplied and delivered to the batch plant by Darwin Ice Supplies before being manually added to the concrete. Leighton Project Director Ray McCann said an outstanding team effort was shown by the engineering and support teams as well as the on-site crew of about 35 skilled workers including carpenters, steel fixers and concreters. Everyone involved has played their part in ensuring our shared commitment to our core values of `safety above all else, `achievement through teamwork, and `getting it right first time, were achieved, Mr McCann said. From page one The population at Manigurr-ma Village is just over 300 residents, with forecasts predicting approximately 600 people will call it home in the lead up to Christmas. But did you know that a large portion of the village is still a construction site with contractors Laing O Rourke continuing the installation of the accommodation modules, verandahs and covered walkways. All of the accommodation modules have now arrived in Darwin and will be transported to site from East Arm once the preparation and installation of cables, plumbing and foundation is complete.

3 Motlop fires up Muk Muks Aaron Motlop, a member of the famous local sporting family, bolsters his young team at three quarter time prior to a convincing win by the Muk Muks under 16 team against Warratahs on Sunday. Not only is Aaron the coach of the U16 team but he serves as the captain of the Muk Muks premier league team. Aaron works on the Ichthys Project onshore LNG facilities with Leighton Contractors on the main civil works package. Great win team! Are you interested in working as a bus driver on the Project? All truck rock loads are covered. Noise, dust and road conditions will continue to be monitored. 5 Marine activity advice to snorkelers divers, boaties and harbour users A number of large marine vessels are now in Darwin Harbour to undertake work on the module offloading facility (MOF) and jetty near Blaydin Point. More vessels will arrive in the coming weeks The cantilever bridge, a large piece of equipment being used to construct the jetty, will move out over the water. Please obey the 250 metre safe distance Production piling is ongoing at the MOF. Accompanying monitoring vessels will be in the area A number of barges are working around the MOF Slow down around moored vessels or if you see this flag indicating that divers are in the area: Marine outfall pipe Additional planned marine activity is scheduled to take place this weekend about four kilometres south of the MOF A 160 metre long section of outfall pipe will be towed from East Arm to the Blaydin Point site via a piloted workboat Lights will be attached to the pipe with vessels located at each end Divers will be engaged as part of this work Please remember to observe the Marine Safety Zone and stay 250 metres away from construction vessels and barges.
