17 Paving Season Extensions In 2015, we revised Publication 408, Section 409.3(b) to allow paving season extensions from October 31 to November 20, or from April 1 to March 20. (Note: Warm Mix Asphalt required.) Draft 2017 Pilot Extended-Season Paving Specification Allows paving season extensions from October 31 to December 15, or from April 1 to March 1 on projects where contractor agrees to pilot. All temperature and surface requirements still apply Enhanced quality control required 17 of 63 extended projects participated in the pilot. Based on feedback from 2017 pilots, the specification can be refined for circulation on CT and future inclusion into Pub. 408
