A MESSAGE FROM THE CEO On the 1st November we passed on an increase in beverage pricing reflective of the costs pressures we have faced over the past 12 months.

2 A MESSAGE FROM THE CEO On the 1st November we passed on an increase in beverage pricing reflective of the costs pressures we have faced over the past 12 months. In addition we also introduced our Pots or Pints policy seeing the removal of schooners and the introduction of pints, a policy in which much of our industry has adopted. This change has enabled us to provide a further discount to members based on volume and we will continue to maintain pressure on our suppliers where possible to minimise any future adjustments to pricing. We thank you for your understanding. Yaralla Sports Club awarded $15,000 in cash to our 30 Junior Sports Star winners for 2017, in many cases these funds provided the much needed support for parents to meet the travel and training costs associated with peak competition. Congratulations to all our worthy winners in 2017 and I look forward to announcing the opening of our 2018 season in the New Year. Don t miss your opportunity to win big in our Absolute Dream promotion with thousands of dollars in cash still up for grabs. Be here on the 4th and the 11th of November for the final 2 draws and your chance to win a new house and land package with local builders Absolute Homes. Ham raffles are set to return in November and keep an eye out for the members Toy Raffle in December with over $1,000 in prizes. I am pleased to advise that both Yaralla and GGCI committees have agreed on planned changes to the 2nd and 6th hole at the Gladstone Golf Club and it is hoped that works will commence in the coming weeks leading up to Christmas. We thank all our golfing members for their patience over this lengthy period and we look forward to works being completed in the New Year. Last month we supported the following clubs and initiatives: Anglican Church Soup Kitchen $965 GAPDL $4,678 Gladstone Golf Club $14,037 Miscellaneous Community $40 Junior Sports Star $2,300 Total $22,020 We would like to thank all of our members and their guests as without your continued support we would be unable to support these community organisations. MELBOURNE CUP AT GLADSTONE EVENTS CENTRE Join us for the FREE-est Melbourne Cup show in town!!! Forget paying $30 just to see the show, come down to Yaralla for a FREE Badboys show and the chance to win lunch with one of our competitions. He recently just won the BITS Junior Open, beating the favourite from Yeppoon. This year he has represented QLD in the State of Origin team, Junior Golf Starts of the Future team and the U14 Amateurs. He has also qualified for the Greg Norman Junior Masters. OLIVIA GEHLE SILAT LANGKAH BARU Olivia has consistently achieved at the highest level of her sport, winning dual gold medals and dual silver medals in the Queensland State Championships in July Olivia has been selected to go to Jogjakarta, Indonesia in April 2018 for two weeks specialist training in the Pencak Silat Seni discipline of Jurus Tunggal.

7 CATCH UP WITH THE GLADSTONE GOLF CLUB GAPDL S MEMBERS & MATES CHARITY GOLF DAY The Gladstone Golf Club hosted the annual GAPDL s Members & Mates Charity Golf Day. The course was looking mint and a massive $3,000 was raised for the Team RSPCA Gladstone. RSPCA were chosen as this year s beneficiary. Their team set up on Hole 6 with a raffle, a left-handed drive or penalty, and played a Junk in the Trunk game, where the aim was to shake the ping pong balls out of the container in the quickest amount of time.
