I take immense pleasure in thanking all the par cipants of the 5th GAIL-PLASTASIA-2016 Exhibi on held from the 3rd to 6th March 2016 at Praga Maidan, New Delhi. From a very humble beginning in 2004 when the maiden venture of GAIL- PLASTASIA was launched, the event has moved a very big way, with the support of our Exhibitors and well wishers. I firmly believe in the statement of none else than Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam who stated very o en industrialize or perish and my firm belief in the statement of this respected soul has thus enabled me to reach so far. It was our maiden venture of GAIL- PLASTASIA Exhibi on in Delhi and the mo va on to do this event was the immense amount of support and encouragement received from the Exhibitors. I would like to express my gra tude to the Title Sponsor GAIL (I) Limited, all our well wishers, Featured Exhibitors, Media partners and Visitors whose strong support has been an influen al factor in making this event possible. GAIL-PLASTASIA-2016 med perfectly for the con nuing boom in India's plas cs and rubber industry. As the petrochemical industry is a major contributor to India's growing economy, this event has given a great impetus to its further diversifica on and growth as well as highligh ng the opportuni es this region might offer. The event has a racted key industry players and decision-makers from the corporate and public sectors of the country thus providing a strategic se ng to forge business e-ups and contacts. GAIL-PLASTASIA in its 5th edi on showcased the latest technology and machineries used in manufacturing of plas cs and petrochemicals with par cipa on from different parts of the world like China, Taiwan, Italy, Germany, Korea etc. This event presented itself as an excellent pla orm for exhibitors to display their products, innova on and services, build brand image and develop leadership in market posi on on a global scale. GAIL-PLASTASIA-2016 successfully opened a new technology fiesta to celebrate innova ons and green technologies from around the world in the capital of India.

The 'Make in India' ini a ve aims to encourage more and more local manufacturers to export and this was evident in the 5th GAIL-PLASTASIA It was a proud moment for us to witness the revolu on in the Plas c Industry in the 70th year of independent India in the form of GAIL- PLASTASIA As an Exhibi on Organiser, we will con nue to join force with the Industry to promote sustainability, advance technologies and leading development trends through our events and to proac vely contribute our part to create a be er future. 6 5th GAIL Plastasia 2016 Grand Story The 5th edi on of GAIL-PLASTASIA-2016 was held at the Praga Maidan, New Delhi in Hall Nos. 8 to 12 & 14 from 3rd to 6th March This was an event which promoted excellence in the field of PLASTICS. On display were the en re range of Plas c Processing Machinery, Accessories, Raw materials, Addi ves, Master batches, intermediates, blends and alloys and composites, a range of quality control and tes ng equipment, machinery for foams & welding machines, IT applica ons and ancillary equipment, among others. The event was inaugurated by Prof MV Rajeev Gowda, MP-Rajya Sabha in the presence of Mr. P.K. Gupta, Senior Dignitary from GAIL India Ltd. The presence of Hon Minister of State for Chemicals & Fer lizers- Mr. HS Ahir added addi onal glamour to the event. The main objec ve of the Exhibi on was to consolidate brand image, establish contact and ini ate business deals. The Exhibi on witnessed par cipa on from several countries like Germany, Korea, Italy and Japan with separate pavilions from CHINA and TAIWAN being the major highlights. Apart from major plas c players the event witnessed par cipa on from SME Segment of the industry. This was supported by NSIC by way of their beneficial schemes. The Exhibi on culminated on an encouraging note while the most innova ve stalls at the exhibi on were recognised. The Best stall award was presented to ACME DIES Systems Pvt. Ltd. followed by Karamsar Technology Pvt. Ltd. and Windsor Machines Ltd. followed by several others. The 2-day Technical Conference focused on 'Exploring Innova ons in the Plas cs manufacturing Industry' was held on the first 2 days of the exhibi on.
