1 Travelling to City North Campus Orientation 10 All new international students will have to register for Orientation 10 on Monday 13 th September 2010 from 9.00am onwards at the International Student Meeting Point; Baker Hall (Baker Building) Birmingham City University City North Campus Perry Barr Birmingham B42 2SU You will be given your Orientation information and your Enrolment slot so it is essential that you attend. If you are living at the following accommodation and you want a member of staff to help you get to the University on public transport, meet outside your Accommodation Office at the following times on Monday 13 th September 2010 only; Hamstead Accommodation Office City South Accommodation Office Jennens Court Accommodation Office Opal 1 Accommodation Office am am am am Please note: you will need 3.50 in exact change to pay for your bus ticket. If you are living at the Coppice or Oscott Gardens, please make your way to Baker Hall (Baker Building) on Monday 13 th September 2010 from 10.00am onwards. For those of you arriving late do not worry! You will still be able to register all week until Friday 17 th September in Baker Hall, 9.00am 4.00pm every day. 2 Travelling from Jennens Court Accommodation (and Millennium Point) to City North Campus Bus: Walk to James Watt Queensway and take Bus No. 33, 51 or 952 to Perry Barr One Stop Shopping Centre. Birmingham City University is across the road. Jennens Court - Student Accommodation 1. Head southwest past Matthew Boulton College on Jennens Rd About 4 mins 2. Turn right at Chapel St Continue to follow Chapel St About 2 mins 3. Cross over the road at Newton St 4. Turn right at James Watt Queensway, bus stops will be located here James Watt Queensway go 0.2 mi total 0.2 mi go 479 ft go 49 ft go 161 ft Train: Walk to New Streett Station (Birmingham City Centre), take the train to Perry Barr. Car: Take the A34 (Walsalll Road) from the city centre. Travel north to Perry Barr and follow signs to City University (Postcode for Sat Nav - B42 2SU).

3 Travelling from City South Campus (Edgbaston) to City North Campus Bus: Walk along the pathway behind Seacole Building through the campus onto Harborne Road. Cross over the road and take Bus No. 22, 23 or 29 to Birmingham City Centre (Colmore Row). Take a bus from Birmingham City Centre to Birmingham City University; Walk to Carrs Lane / High Street (next to Marks & Spencer and Dorothy Perkins) and take any of the following buses - Bus No. 33, 51, 52 to One Stop Shopping Centre OR Bus No. 997, 934, 935 to the Perry Barr Greyhound Stadium. Birmingham City University is across the road. Train: Walk to Fiveways Centre (at the top of Broad Street), take a train to New Street Station (Birmingham City Centre) and then change trains to Perry Barr. Car: Use Harborne Road/Chad Road to arrive on the A456. Go under the underpass to get onto Broad Street, get on the Queensway system and after two underpasses leave at Lancaster Circus. Travel north on the A34 (Walsall Road) to Perry Barr and follow signs to City University (Postcode for Sat Nav - B42 2SU).

4 Travelling from Opal 1 Accommodation to City North Campus Take a bus from Pershore Rd to Birmingham City Centre; Bus: Head left on Murrell Close, turn left onto Bellevue, turn left again onto Pershore Road and take Bus No. 45, 47, 63 to Birmingham City Centre (Priory Queensway). Take a bus from Birmingham City Centre to Birmingham City University; Bus Option 1: Walk to James Watt Queensway and take Bus No. 33, 51 or 952 to Perry Barr One Stop Shopping Centre. Birmingham City University is across the road. Take a bus from Birmingham City Centre to Birmingham City University; Bus Option 2: Walk to Carrs Lane / High Street (next to Marks & Spencer and Dorothy Perkins) and take any of the following buses - Bus No. 33, 51, 52 to One Stop Shopping Centre OR Bus No. 997, 934, 935 to the Perry Barr Greyhound Stadium. 5 Travelling from Hamstead Accommodation to City North Campus Bus Option 1 - Recommended: Walk through Hamstead Campus onto the Mitton Rd / College Rd junction and take Bus No. 654 to Perry Barr One Stop Shopping Centre. Birmingham City University is across the road. Bus Option 2: Walk to Oxhill Road and take Bus No. 11 (11a or 11c) to Perry Barr roundabout stopping at Barclay s Bank. Once off the bus, walk right around the corner onto Birchfield Road past Barclay s Bank, Birmingham City University is to the right. Hamstead Campus 1. Head northwest on Lofthouse Rd 2. Turn left at Friary About 1 min 3. Turn left at College Rd About 6 mins 4. At the roundabout, turn right onto Oxhill Rd / A4040 Oxhill Rd Rd go 85 ft total 85 ft go 394 ft total 479 ft go 0.3 mi total 0.4 mi go 128 ft total 0.4 mi Train: Not advisable Car: Turn left at Friary Rd, then 1 st left onto College Rd. At the roundabout take the 1 st exit onto Church Lane/ /A4040, then go straight through 2 roundabouts, following signs to City University. Turn left onto Wellhead Lane and then 2 nd left for Student Car Park (Postcode for Sat Nav - B42 2SU).
