Our graduates work for prestigious names such as Tiffany s and TAG Heuer, with jewellery designs used in collections for companies such as Argos and Harrods. We understand that choosing the course and university that s right for you is a huge and often difficult decision, with lots to consider. Our Open Days are designed to give you all the information you need, with a non-stop programme of events and activities running throughout the day. You, your friends and family will be the centre of our attention, as you meet and talk to our friendly staff and students about courses, careers and all aspects of study. There s a packed programme, so we recommend that you arrive for the start to ensure you get the most out of the day. 5 On-the-day essentials When you arrive All School of Jewellery visitors must register at our Vittoria Street building. Directions to the School can be found on page 10 of this programme. Upon arrival please report to the Open Day registration desk, hand in your registration document or text message ID, and collect your welcome pack and programme for the day. 10 Travel directions Road From M6 South or North West Leave the M6 at Junction 6 and follow the A38(M). Follow signs to City Centre, Bromsgrove A38. As you come off the flyover keep left on St Chads Queensway/ A4400. St Chads Queensway turns slightly to the right and becomes Old Snowhill/ B4100, continue to follow B4100. After approx 500m turn left into Northwood Street, then second right into Caroline Street, then first left into Regent Place. When you reach the T Junction at the end of Regent place, this is Vittoria Street. The School of Jewellery is situated here. From M5 South West Leave the M5 at Junction 3 and travel towards Birmingham City Centre along the A456 (Hagley Road) for five miles to the Five Ways roundabout. At the roundabout take first left onto Ladywood Middleway/A4540. At the next roundabout, take first exit onto Icknield Street/A4540. After approx 300m turn right into Carver Street, then first left into Warstone Lane, Vittoria Street is the first right after the clock tower. Turn right and the School of Jewellery is situated on the left. From M40 Oxford and South Turn off on the M42 and travel north towards the M6. Travel north on the M6 leaving at Junction 6. (Read directions From M6 South or North West ). From M42 East Midlands Join the M6 heading towards Birmingham Central and leave the M6 at Junction 6. (Read directions From M6 South or North West ). Rail The School of Jewellery is situated about 10 minutes walk from both New Street Station and Snow Hill Station, where there are regular train services to and from all parts of the country. Trains run every half hour from London Euston to New Street Station - the journey time is approximately 100 minutes. Walking route from New Street station Exit the station onto Hill Street. Turn right and continue walking up Hill Street until you get to Victoria Square. Keep going alongside the Town Hall through Victoria Square until you see the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery on your right. Walk past the main entrance and turn right onto Edmund Street. Walk along until you see Newhall Street (second left). Turn left into Newhall Street and follow it to the end (it veers left and becomes Graham Street). Follow Graham Street and Vittoria Street is the first right. The School of Jewellery is situated approx 200m ahead on the left. Walking route from Snow Hill station Exit the station onto Colmore Row. Turn left and follow Colmore Row towards the Council House. Turn left into Newhall Street and follow it to the end, approx 600m (it veers left and becomes Graham Street). Follow Graham Street and Vittoria Street is the first right. The School of Jewellery is situated approx 200m ahead on the left.
