1 Ace Café Meeting Point POSTCODE: NW10 7UD Getting here: Ace Café is found just alongside the North Circular between the Hangar Lane gyratory (A40) to the south and Ikea to the north (A404). From the west of London come in on the M40/A40 and turn north at Hangar Lane, signposted Wembley, onto the North Circular A406. Take the 2nd exit off the A406 - signposted for Park Royal - turn left at the traffic lights & immediately right onto the old North Circular Road. The Ace is 100 yards on the left From the north of London come in on the M1 and turn south onto the North Circular A406. Take the second exit off the A406 - signposted for Park Royal - after the traffic lights at Brentfields Road (where you'll see Ikea and McDonalds). Turn right, then right again onto the old North Circular Road. The Ace is 100 yards on the left Leaving here: When the engines start, follow the crowd back across the North Circular A406 into the industrial estate following signs to Central Middlesex Hospital (don t go down onto the A406). Cross the next roundabout and the lights and then re-group with the rest of the packby waiting on Abbey Road.

2 To Park Royal POSTCODE: NW10 7JJ Continue down Abbey Road once everyone has regrouped, until you get to a major junction with Asda ahead, and the hospital to the left. Keep in the left lane and then turn right to cross over the junction, keeping Asda to your right, following signs for Central London (A40). Keep going until you get to a fork in the road. Turn left and follow the one-way system round to the right and join the A40 Westway heading for Central London A40.

3 Westway to Park Lane Follow the A40 Westway towards Central London WATCH FOR SPEED CAMERAS until you get to Paddington on the raised section (high rise flats). Turn off following signs to West End and turn right under the flyover, over the railway bridge and head straight down Westbourne Terrace (keep right and follow the congestion sign). Re-group on Westbourne Terrace to help stragglers catch up. Keep heading south following West End signs until you turn onto Bayswater Road. Then, at the big Marble Arch junction turn right down Park Lane towards Westminster.

4 Park Lane - POSTCODE: WC2N 5DG to The Mall - ADDRESS: London, The Mall SW1A Go down Park Lane, past the BP garage (stop if you need fuel, but camber is bad for low cars), until you reach Hyde Park Corner (roundabout). Take the second exit through the gates into Green Park and on past Buckingham Palace. Carry on left down The Mall and on through the gates to Trafalgar Square.

5 Whitehall POSTCODE: SW1A 2DY to London Eye Meeting Point POSTCODE: SE1 7PB At Trafalgar Square (they ll be a large column to your left) double back on yourself taking the last exit on the roundabout right down Whitehall. You should see Big Ben straight ahead. At Parliament Square turn left across Westminster Bridge. After the bridge turn left and left again to get to the London Eye. Park up in the coach bays where available, and wait to re-group. When you re ready to leave, continue on your way in the same direction turning right immediately after the bridge to get up to the roundabout with the IMAX Cinema in the middle. Take the first exit, Waterloo Bridge, and prepare for the first tunnel. Turn over and read the instructions for the tunnel and exit, NOW!

6 Through Kingsway Tunnel to Kingsway Turnaround POSTCODE: WC2B 4BA to Aldwych Meeting Point POSTCODE: WC2B 4LG On Waterloo Bridge stay in the right-hand lane and enter the Kingsway Tunnel. The tunnel is one-way but don t be caught out by the sharp bends. There are no speed cameras. On exiting the tunnel on Kingsway you need to turn around as soon as possible. You cannot U-turn on the street so take the first tight lefthand turn before the lights, into Keeley St. Then turn right, right, and right again to return onto Kingsway. IF YOU MISS THE TURN, U-TURN WHERE YOU CAN AND MEET AT ALDWYCH as follows. At the bottom of Kingsway, go around the Aldwych roundabout staying in the right-hand lane following signs to Trafalgar Square. Pull up inside the middle of the roundabout and wait for others to re-group. If you get lost, keep going right round the Aldwych roundabout until you figure out where the meeting point is. When you are ready, carry on down the Strand following signs to Trafalgar Square.

7 Northumberland Avenue POSTCODE: WC2N 5DG to Tower Bridge Rd POSTCODE: SE1 2UN Head west down the Strand and at Trafalgar Square take the first exit down Northumberland Avenue towards the river. At the Embankment turn left and follow the Embankment all the way round to the Blackfriars underpass. BEWARE SPEED CAMERA ON EXIT Keep going onto Upper Thames Street following Docklands. BEWARE AVERAGE SPEED CAMERAS AND GATSOS. Continue all the way up to Tower Hill with the Tower of London on your right-hand side. At the Tower of London junction, filter left following signs to Tower Bridge, then go right and right again to get to the bridge and cross the river.

8 Jamaica Rd POSTCODE: SE16 4RS through Rotherhithe Tunnel to Butcher Row POSTCODE: E1W 3HF Cross Tower Bridge and turn left at the second lights onto Tooley Street. Continue onto Jamaica Road and you ll see Canary Wharf ahead. At the roundabout take the signed entrance to the RotherhitheTunnel. BEWARE SPEED CAMERA ON ENTRY TO TUNNEL When you come out of the tunnel continue up to the lights and turn left, and then left again at the lights onto Butcher Row. At the bottom of Butcher Row turn left again to access the Limehouse Link Tunnel. In the tunnel, TURN LEFT. BEWARE OF SPEED CAMERAS

9 Through Limehouse Link Tunnel to Westferry Underground Roundabout ADDRESS: London, Westferry Rd crossing Campden Crescent Keep left in the tunnel BEWARE SPEED CAMERAS and take the lefthand exit. Once out of the tunnel, turn right towards Westferry Circus. Keep left following signs to Canary Wharf (Lower Level) and go inside the underground roundabout, go round and park up and wait for the fun to start.

10 Westferry Road ADDRESS: London, Westferry Rd crossing Marsh Wall overground to Canary Wharf POSTCODE: E14 5HS When you re ready to leave, take the exit to the south signposted Isle of Dogs, go round the next roundabout and stay in the middle of the road to go up the ramp to the upper roundabout. Go around the roundabout and go through security to enter Canary Wharf. This will take a while to get everyone through, so park up on the North Colonnade once through and wait to re-group, or drive around the skyscrapers for a while. Cartier Circle POSTCODE: E14 5RB through Blackwall Tunnel When you are ready to leave, go through the other end of Canary Wharf, north up Trafalgar Way, right at MacDonalds and follow signs to the Blackwall Tunnel (map overleaf). This will take you up Cotton Street, right on East India Dock Road and left onto the Blackwall Tunnel Approach. BEWARE SPEED CAMERAS

11 To North Greenwich Meeting Point POSTCODE: SE10 0PH When you exit the Blackwall Tunnel continue under the footbridge and take the next exit signposted to The O2 Dome, stay in the left-hand filter lane and head up Millenium Way. Take the next major right signposted to North Greenwich Station. Then immediately turn left into the first car park and you ve arrived at the finish.
