2 INTRODUCTION OF THE COMPANY Our company celebrated 25 years of successful presence in the market in March 2016 (it was established on 19 March 1991). In this time, we have become one of the most prominent construction companies in the Region of, with annual turnover of over CZK 515 million (2016). While in the early 1990s we focused mostly on reconstructions of family houses, buildings and company premises with our 20 full-time employees, now the scope of our company s activities is much wider. The BAU-STAV company, with more than 300 employees, now performs not only civil engineering work but also engineering and transport construction work, construction of public facilities, housing blocks, hotels, spa resorts, medical facilities, cultural and architectural monuments repairs, revitalization, and it has also been successful in its own development projects. Many of our projects have contributed to the development of the Region of. During our work, we give preference to original solutions, maximum economy of work, necessary technologies, all of it using environmentally-considerate technologies. The company had to work on building and repeatedly justifying its reputation, though. To achieve this reputation, it required long-- term work effort of many employees of the company. Our effort was rewarded by achieving the ISO 9001:2001 certification in November The quality of the work performed is closely connected with environment protection. Our construction company acts in an environmentally friendly way, which resulted in being awarded the quality certificate in the environment protection area in November 2005, called Environmental Management System, pursuant to the Czech ČSN EN ISO standard. The company has also established and maintains another management system. It is the health and safety system. The effective system was launched in April 2009 by being awarded the Czech ČSN OHSAS 18001: 2008 standard certificate.
