10 ONGOING PROCESS IN 2009: DECIDED TO HAVE A THIRD PARTY CERTIFICATION The Green Key is a worldwide available eco-label awarded to leisure organisations, as hotels, youth hostels, conference- and holiday centres, campsites, holiday houses and leisure facilities. To obtain The Green Key the company has to fulfill a list of environmental requirements. Besides environmental demands (by example to control the production of waste and the use of water, electricity, etc.), the criteria include demands on: Policy Action plans Education Communication

11 Co2 cutbacks Improvements to our buildings: Ventilation Sun film on all large exterior glass facades Lighting Energy Management Cooling Mixing Loops Put into place during the planning and preparation of the COP 15 Summit (226 tons) (211 tons) (209 tons) (61 tons) (33 tons) (9 tons) Total reduction: 14% At present, the following initiatives are well underway. In addition, we implemented the following reductions: Dismantling all electric radiators Replacement of additional lighting Outdoor lighting, logo signs etc. (twilight relay) Motion sensors - toilets and external building Town gas for the stove Total reduction: 4% Stand Lighting Spots in Hall H and C1 during CIFF (Copenhagen International Fashion Fair) Installation of new post mix (Coca Cola etc.) Grand Total: Approx 20% - Goal has been reached In addition, several initiatives to improve our Co2 emissions, but cannot be counted in the above equation: Wind turbine Phasing out water bottles Eco-friendly menus Environmentally friendly production materials Waste management system (132 tons) (122.5 tons) (41.54 tons) (27.17 tons) (2.56 tons)
