2 Facts & Figures HUSUM Wind 2017: visitors 27,500 sq. m exhibition space 4 days Over 100 congresses / workshops / lecture / discussion events Excursions From September 2017, HUSUM Wind was once again home to the wind industry. Visitors and exhibitors discussed technical innovations and political parameters, Established contacts and did business. We see the results of exhibition week as being very positive, and they once again highlighted the diversity and dynamism of the German market, from where impulses emanate across the whole world. The good mood of the exhibitors and visitors was due to the fair s secret of success: the familiar and informal atmosphere. This was confirmed by the industrial associations who attended, and who were highly satisfied with the result. There has been a pioneering spirit here in Husum for the last thirty years, and attendees demonstrated just how well the wind industry sticks together when Hurricane Sebastian forced the evacuation of Halls 1 to 4 on the Wednesday afternoon.. Peter Becker, managing director of Messe Husum & Congress, Summed it up: The trade fair could not have been more turbulent but successful. Numerous major industry players as well as young innovative enterprises were able to conclude a lot of business deals and establish valuable contacts in Husum. And true to our motto We are Wind, we impressively showed just how the wind industry sticks together. During his visit to HUSUM Wind, Dr. Robert Habeck, Schleswig-Holstein s minister for energy transition, agriculture, explained that: What is special about Schleswig-Holstein and you can really see that here at the trade fair is that we are involved in and thinking about the next level of the energy transition. I believe that visionaries, tinkering around to create solutions and sheer stubbornness is what makes Schleswig-Holstein what it is. The industry s familiar meeting place.
