Fllwing a pleasant 1hr 50 min drive, we will enjy mrning tea at Picnic Pint, lcated n the edge f the Great Dividing ange in Twmba. Next we will travel t Miles, where lunch will be prvided in a lcal park. Miles was riginally named Dgwd Crssing and was established n a track blazed by the explrer Ludwig Leichhardt in After lunch we cntinue ur jurney t ur vernight stp at Mitchell, knwn as the Gateway t Queensland s Outback. Augathella, with its fascinating histry f bushrangers, bullckies and bullck teams, has sme memrable Outback experiences. Afternn: Early Evening: Our lunch break is scheduled in Blackall. Famus fr many reasns, blade shearer Jack Hwe put Blackall n the map in 1892 when he set a wrld recrd by shearing 321 sheep in seven hurs and 40 minutes. It tk 58 years fr anyne t match this feat.
