10 City Rail Loop (Pisararata) Rail loop under the city center Above ground: for a short section besides the main tracks leading to Helsinki main station Underground: two tracks running in rock tunnels, each 6,0 km long Trains operated at the max. speed of 80 km/h, 230 m platforms Construction plan is already made and project waits for investment decision Construction takes about 10 years. 12 Fast train Helsinki Turku (one hour train) The new double track Espoo-Salo line will shorten the Helsinki-Turku route by about 26 km and time savings about 30 minutes. Helsinki-Turku project is divided into four entities (2.17 billion ): Helsinki-Espoo track (275) Espoo Salo new line/double track (1.500) Salo Turku double track (350) Turku railway yard (45) Construction takes about 10 years At the design stage and waits for the investment decision 12

13 Flight Track (airport track) Double track is 30 km long and about 28 km passes through a tunnel. The time savings approximately 20 minutes. The track joins in both ends to the main track line. Construction takes about 10 years. Estimated costs are about 2.65 billion Waits for planning and investment decision 13

14 Helsinki-Tallinn Tunnel The Finest Bay Area Development Project Company (private), which is planning a railway tunnel under the Gulf of Finland, announces that it has agreed to a EUR 15 billion financing tunnel with the Chinese investment company Touchstone Capital Partners (TCP). 14
