MEMBERSHIP MONTH During November the Ulysses Club nationally is making a special effort to attract new members. Waikato Branch Committee encourages all members to bring a Guest to the November & December Branch meetings. There is a Special concession for new members joining, the Joining Fee is reduced to $10.00 (instead of $35.00), and one-year membership ($40.00) will last through to December 2017; three-year membership ($100.00) to December ANNUAL SPUD GROWING COMPETITION Collect your seed spud ($5.00) from Rosalie at November Branch Meeting. Harvest in February. Who can challenge Ivan the Champ? RETREAD SALE BRANCH MEETING, MONDAY 7 NOVEMBER Do you have items of old gear sitting around unused, too good to throw away but already replaced with something better? Perhaps another member could find a good home for it? Pay a few dollars for Branch funds / Child Cancer. Others may have retread gear to bring along? 1

2 29 th Waikato Branch Annual Rally November 2016 (arrival Friday 11th OK) Entry Fee - $20.00 includes Badge & Breakfast on Sunday, Tea, Coffee, Hot water, Gas rings. All free. BYO food, utensils, refreshments & accommodation. Tin tops and caravans OK. The Ulysses Club s first Back to Nature Rally and still going strong after 28 years. No bands. No organised entertainment. Directions From Whakamaru, travel south on SH32 (Western Access) for approx 24kms. Turn right into Kakaho Road (Look for Ulysses sign) then 3km to campsite. Post entry to - C/- N Tyler, 9 Dudley Ave, Huntly 3700 Ulysses Members. Family & Dearest Friends only. NORTHERN ODYSSEY 2017 You will be given a route of approx. 1000 kms of North Island roads selected for their good riding, great scenery and points of interest along the way.

The 2017 Odyssey will take you through Manawatu, Wellington & Wairarapa, starting in Palmerston North & finishing in Masterton.

5 NORTHERN ODYSSEY 2017 You will be given a route of approx kms of North Island roads selected for their good riding, great scenery and points of interest along the way. Every hour or so, you will need to stop and find the answer to a question. The 2017 Odyssey will take you through Manawatu, Wellington & Wairarapa, starting in Palmerston North & finishing in Masterton. The questions can be completed any time between Boxing Day (26 December 2016) and ANZAC Day (25 April 2017). The route can be completed as one continuous ride or several short rides. It commences with a complimentary tea, coffee (or other drink) close to the start and a beer (or other drink) at the finish. REGISTRATION: $30.00 (includes Badge and complimentary drink at start & finish). ENTRIES: To qualify for complimentary drinks submit entries by 13 December 2016; otherwise entries accepted until 31 March Entries open to all, Ulysses members and non-members.
