18 PCP Implementation Regulation AF6 extract The Initial Trajectory Information Sharing functionality with enhanced flight data processing performances is expected - to improve predictability of aircraft trajectory for the benefit of airspace users, the network manager and ANS providers, - implying less tactical interventions and improved de-confliction situation. This is expected to have a positive impact on - ANS productivity, - fuel saving and - delay variability. This functionality includes part of the Step 1 Essential Operational Change for the Moving from Airspace to 4D Trajectory Management key feature as defined in the European ATM Master Plan and it indirectly supports other key features addressed by the other ATM functionalities through the use of shared trajectory information. 18 for AEE2018 June 20 th AF6: Air Traffic Management Functionality n 6 (Initial Trajectory Information Sharing) PCP: Pilot Common Project
19 Benefits enabled by new Controller Support Tools P31 ANSPs will develop & demonstrate a set of ADS-C/EPP applications in Wave#1 ( ). These applications are expected to enable the following benefits for Airspace Users: 1. Optimization of climb profiles through sharing of ToC and climb performance 2. Optimized descent clearance through downlink of ToD 3. Avoidance of deviations and unexpected manoeuvres through air & ground flight plan alignment 4. Reduction in controller intervention through more accurate conflict detection assesses these applications and investigates in their benefit potential through critical exposure to a real-world operational environment with a variety of behaviours of flight crew and controllers. 19 for AEE2018 June 20 th ToC: Top of Climb ToD: Top of Descent ANSP: Air Navigation Service Provider
