3 REPORT DAMOND DRLLNG DASE 1-8 CLAMS NTRODUCTON Damond drll stes were prepared on and near surface showngs of copper, molybdenum and tungsten mneralzaton on the Chlko Lake property of Gordon Resources durng the 1980 feld season. The work was conducted, under contract, by J. Gabbs Drllng, Selkrk Street, Vancouver, B.C. The wrter consulted on the programme and completed core loggng October 6 and 7 at the company camp on Frankln Arm. LOCATON AND ACCESSBLTY The Dase Group of Mneral Clams s located n the Clnton Mnng Dvsan about 240 klometres north of Vancouver. The clams are on the south sde of Deschamps Creek 4 klo- metres southwest from the west end of Frankln Arm of Chlko Lake. Access s by road to Chlko Lake and boat or float plane to the campste on Frankln Arm.

5 2. PROPERTY The property s composed of the Dase 1-8 clams located by the two-post system. Record numbers are and the locaton date s November 5. The clams are shown on the Mneral Ttles Reference Map M92N/ 1E. GEOLOGY A seres of partally exposed mneral showngs occur near and wthn a 60-to 125-metre band of lmestone and skarn. Ths s flanked by a parallel seres of mpure lmestone, argllte, tuff, andeste and agglomerate. Lamprophyre, feldspar porphyry and dorte dkes occur throughout the older sedmentary and volcanc seres. A stock of fne-graned dorte underles the northern Dase 1 and 3 clams. A fault wth possble lateral dsplacement strkes north- westerly across the Dase 2 and 4 clams. A seres of sem- parallel shears contan sulphde and oxde mneralzaton. The mneralzed zones contan chalcopyrte, pyrte, pyrrhotte, malachte, molybdente, arsenopyrte, and scheelte wth mnor galena sphalerte and assocated gold, slver, nckel, cobalt and vanadum.

7 3. DAMOND DRLLNG The followng sx core holes were drlled by J. Gabbs Drllng - July through October ths year usng standard AX equpment. 10 SUMMARY AND CONCLUSONS Sx holes were damond drlled on the Dase 3 and 4 clams durng the 1980 feld season. Holes A, B and C are located near the Number 2 showngs where four trenches expose lmestone, skarn and quartz contanng chalcopyrte, pyrte, pyrrhotte, molybdente and scheelte. Holes D and E are located 140 metres south between the Number 2 and 3 showngs. Copper, molybdenum and tungsten was encountered n the fve holes. The Q hole was abandoned n overburden. The strongest mneralzaton was cored n the followng ntersectons: MoS2% wo3% - HOLE A 90ft. of ft. of ft. of.295 HOLE B 60ft. of ft. of ft. of.l90 HOLE C 20ft. of ft. of ft. of.264 HOLE E 35ft. of ft. of ft. of.202 zoft. of ft. of ft. of,587 t s concluded that the damond drllng programme has provded evdence of good grade potental warrantng addtonal nvestgaton. t s recommended that an expanded programme be conducted n the 1981 feld season. 11 6. COSTS STATEMENT The drll programme was contracted wth J. Gabbs Drllng of Selkrk Street, Vancouver, B.C. Usng standard AX equpment metres of hole was drlled at and near exposed mneral showngs on the Dase 3 and 4 clams. The logs for the sx holes are ncluded herewth. Drllng cost: metres 8$52.50/m = $ 17, Crew: J. Gabbs, J. Sperlng, M. Brown, all of Vancouver Transportaton of men- BGupment and supples: Spare parts and bts: 7, , Total costs $26, Assessment credt was recorded n Vancouver on November 4, by J. Gabbs to the amount of $17, for the Dase 1-8 clams.
