1 Geological Report on Limestone Exploration Of Bhatvadiya Block Of Kalyanpur Taluka, Devbhumi Dwarka District, Gujarat. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Prepared for: Gujarat Mineral Research & Development Society Government of Gujarat Prepared By: Vinayak Engimech Pvt. Ltd. Bellevue Compound, Opp. Gandhigram Station, Near SBI, Ahmedabad Gujarat.
2 Executive Summary Bhatvadiya Block is a part of Kalyanpur Limestone Drilling Scheme in Kalyanpur Taluka of Devbhumi Dwarka District, Gujarat. It is E-W irregular polygonal block with an area of hectare having approximate dimensions of 5.85 km in length and 6.15 km in width. In early history, out of this project area Bhatvadiya-A, Bhatvadiya-B, Bhatvadiya-C and Bhatvadiya-D blocks were formed. At present, from this whole project area, block named Bhatvadiya Block has been designated by Gujarat Mineral Research and Development Society (GMRDS), Industries and Mines Department, Gandhinagar through outsourcing. Drilling agency Vinayak Engimech Pvt. Ltd has carried out drilling in this Bhatvadiya block during The area cover mainly cement grade limestone and marl deposits of Tertiary period. The mineralized zone belongs to Gaj formation and Dwarka Formation ranging in age from Lower Miocene to Pliocene. At few places, limestone encounter directly at surface and sometimes overburden of soil of 0.5 m to 1 m is there. Bhatvadiya block has a relief of 29 m. Highest and lowest elevation points in this block area are 32 m and 3 m respectively as per data given by Soham Ferro Menganease Pvt. Ltd. Overall topography of area is flat with slight undulation and gently rolling. The block area falls under survey of India toposheet no. 41 F/4 of Kalyanpur Taluka of Devbhumi Dwarka District. Dwarka is very important pilgrimage appx 40 km away from block area. And area is accessible throughout the year. Soham Ferro Menganease Pvt. Ltd. has organized the Topographic survey using Total Station Theodolites and DGPS survey to determine the boundary of the
3 block and classified the block area as government and private land. As per data given by Soham Ferro Menganease Pvt. Ltd, in Bhatvadiya block out of total hectare block area, around hectare area is government land and hectare area is private/ agricultural land. 236 diamond core drill holes, totaling meterage have been drilled within Bhatvadiya block in 200 m grid. Around 2874 no of half splitted core samples have been sent to Petrography and Mineral Chemistry Laboratory, Gandhinagar for assay. Element suit determined at Petrography and Mineral Chemistry Laboratory, Gandhinagar include SiO 2, Al 2 O 3, Fe 2 O 3, CaO, MgO, Na 2 O, K 2 O, P 2 O 5, TiO 2, MnO, SO 3 and loss along with specific gravity data. Vinayak Engimech Pvt. Ltd. has prepared geological report by considering drilling data and analysis provided by Petrography and Mineral Chemistry Laboratory, Gandhinagar. For resource estimation analysis data, grade of limestone, area of influence method used. The main mineralized body of limestone belonging to Gaj and Dwarka formation. In Bhatvadiya block exploration carried out is of G-1 stage (i.e. detailed exploration) & G-2 stage (i.e. general exploration). The geological resources of limestone in the block has been classified based on Mineral (Evidence of Mineral Contents) Rules, 2015 notified by Ministry of Mines. Total geological resource in Bhatvadiya block is million tonnes of indicated mineral resource (332 category). The following table summarizes the grade wise indicated geological resource (332) of Bhatvadiya Block.
