Don t forget to earmark 4 th March 2017 in your diary for the 2017 winter ball. When we get the menu from the hotel booking will start. And last, but not least, booking forms for our th Anniversary Rally are now available on the website in the members area. Discounted to 25 until April, so best get them in asap. Remember that the sooner you book, the more choice you have of slots to do your gate duty over the rally weekend. That s all for this month. See you at the Christmas dinners. Mike
From the Directors chair Hello everyone! Was great to see so many of you at the AGM. If we carry on at this rate we will need to hire a bigger venue than the village hall. I'm delighted that the Fenlanders has once again increased our membership, have more money in the bank, have made more donations to charity than any time in our illustrious 25 year history and confirms that we must be doing something right. It's also great for me personally when members come over after the AGM to say thank you to me and congratulate me as it makes it all seem worthwhile and it means a lot. It's also very gratifying when new members openly thank us for being such a friendly welcoming group and say how much they enjoy being a Fenlander, again we must be getting it right. It's not all about successful figures and statistics though, it's about being an integral part of a great club and having fun. It's a particular pleasure to present long service award patches to you at the AGM and to know they are worn with pride. Great stuff Fenlanders and thank you for all you put in to the Chapter. Well done all of you, it's a pleasure to serve. Take care of yourselves and each other. Neily B

Dealer Principal & Treasurers Report Hi All, Thanks to everyone who made it to the AGM, it was great to see you all and I hope you appreciated my distinctly quiet T-Shirt. As I said on the day, I d like to thank Dick Hayes for his support as Assistant Treasurer during 2016 and I m very pleased to announce that he will again support me in I would also like to thank everyone on the 2016 Committee for their hard work and commitment. These guys give up a lot of their own time for the good of the Chapter and I for one really appreciate what they do for us. Our accounts as of the 2015 AGM stood at 21,590 and for the 2016 AGM they stand at a net figure of 22,760, so an increase in funds of 1,170 for the year. This figure does not include the 4,074 we have put aside for the Charity Donation. The 4,074 was raised through our Monthly Meeting Raffles ( 1,070) the Rally Raffle ( 1,244) and the events at Newmarket H-D ( 2,460). Newmarket H-D donates raffle prizes and pays for the food on event days. The Chapter very kindly arrange for helpers to cook and sell the food and I would like to thank everyone who has volunteered their time on behalf of the Chapter to help out (I m sure that Lindz and Ali would appreciate any help they can get, so if you can spare and hour or so, please contact them). I think the 2016 Rally was fantastic, with the greatest memory for me being the sheer numbers of volunteers that helped throughout the weekend. This made the weekend run so much more smoothly and I d like to thank each and every one of you who gave up your time to help. The Ride Out s were great and Bands were good, but for me, the best bit was the Family atmosphere, the best I can remember for a long time. So, all in all, I had an absolutely fantastic weekend and I am already looking forward to next year. If you have any thoughts of how we can improve the rally further still, please see me or any member of the committee, we are already working on Silly Games and hopefully Fireworks. In 2015 the rally lost 2,925. Overall for 2016, the rally has lost 141 (which is 200 better than the AGM as we had some outstanding monies arrive). This net amount includes the 1,410 discount subsidy given to Fenlanders Chapter Members off of the normal ticket price for pre booking. From a Shop point of view, we had another record beating East of England Rally and we re planning to make the 25 th even bigger and better.
Dealer Principal & Treasurers Report Bigger Road Crew for 2016 On Saturday 19 th November 10.00am at Newmarket H-D we have our Road Crew Meeting where we will welcome our latest recruits Graham Fielding and Andy Muggeridge who will join Neil Sturman and John White as Road Captains. With Woz taking the reigns as Senior Road Captain, we will be able to hold a better range of ride outs for next year. Anyone wishing to attend is more than welcome to do so. All we would ask is be prepared to come along with some suggestions and hopefully get involved in the arranging and running of events and rides. Please confirm your attendance by calling me on by Friday 18 th and remember to keep checking the Google Calendar as we are loading future dates in for next year already. In addition to the regular chapter rides and events, your support at shop events such as the Birthday Party, Poker Runs etc and off site events like the Copdock show is very much appreciated and you ll be pleased to know that we are planning a full events schedule for next year. This will include firm favourites such as the Poker Runs and Open House, but also some fresh ideas too, and this is where you come in. Richard and I would like your suggestions, what would you would like to see at the shop that we are not doing already? Our next evet is the annual Santa Day on Saturday 10 th December which will feature food and drink, free gift wrapping and some heavy reductions on selected Clothing and Merchandise and free presents for the kids. Santa will arrive on his Harley at 12noon. Finally, Yuliya has been updating the Web Shop and we have some clearance lines on there, check them out here: As always, if I can do anything to make your Chapter or Dealership experience better, don t hesitate to call or better still see me at the shop, on rides or at events, see you all out there! Ride Safe Garry garry@newmarketharley.co.uk Woz & John White with their Roads Captain certificates
News from Newmarket HD Well hello to you all. After a great AGM at Mundford, I would like to say a big thank you from myself for the support you have given me these last two years. It s important to let you know how proud I am to be your dealer rep, and serve such a great Chapter that much was evident on this past Sunday. Anyway moving on, first port of call is chapter challenge. Miles are up from last year with nearly miles total. Currently Alan Moss has the most, but there is still time to submit as long as I get the returns by the end of the month. As a reminder I have copied the requirements as we can win as group or individually and the top ten. NOTE: For miles to be included in the Chapter Challenge, participants must have a valid and active UK or Ireland HOG membership. Registration to participate in the Chapter Challenge will automatically enroll you into the H.O.G. Mileage Programme or update your mileage records if you are already enrolled. Full details are on the H.O.G. UK & Ireland Events Card. Achievement Awards to be presented to Chapters for: Greatest number of miles accumulated Greatest number of participants Greatest average number of miles travelled per participant An Achievement Award will also be presented to the individual participant who accumulates the greatest number of miles during the Chapter Challenge period. That rider will also receive a 100 voucher, redeemable at any authorised H-D dealer in the UK.
News from Newmarket HD Chapters submitting amusing photos of chapter members displaying their chapter patches at the H.O.G. events specified by the mileage programme logo in the events list will be awarded an additional 1,000 miles per member in the photo. A maximum of 10,000 extra miles per event will be awarded. Points will also be awarded for pictures from any one of the other events on the list. Photographs should be submitted via to the Chapter Challenge Coordinator: chapterchallengecoordinator@harley-davidson.com The mileage of the top 10 in each Chapter will be added together and the Chapter with the highest total of these top 10 will also receive an achievement award. Now then, we have been inundated with lots of new lines of clothing and gift ideas for you know what s around the corner. Yuliya is putting this on our website as I am writing this but have included a link direct to this part of our website. This will allow you to view up to date what s in store now. NEW IN SPECIAL OFFERS. So that s about it for now, apart to say see you at our Christmas party day on Saturday the 10 th December, and if you have anything to ask and what to see down at the dealer just drop me line at richard@newmarketharley.co.uk Ricardo.
