These criteria are used to verify parishioner status for: sponsor certificates; enrollment in parochial schools; participation in Sacramental, educational, pastoral and social ministries; activities and enrichment programs; and use of facilities and services. No activity shown for three months will move a person to an Inactive Status. SC The World Apostolate of Fatima will bring its United Nations Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Our Lady of Fatima to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 510 St. James Ave, Goose Creek, SC from 7 PM Friday, October 12, to 10 PM Saturday, October 13, and again Sunday, October 1, from 6 AM to 9 PM. This statue of Mary, based out of Rhode Island, and is owned by the Fatima Sanctuary in Portugal. This is one of the four International Pilgrim Virgin statues, blessed by Pope Pius XII on May 13, 197, the thirtieth anniversary of the first apparition of Mary at Fatima. Shortly there after it began a continuous worldwide pilgrimage. -Mary, the mother of Jesus, appeared several times to three shepherd children in Fatima, Portugal, in The Catholic Church venerates Mary s appearances there by giving her the title of Our Lady of Fatima. -The program will start with Holy Mass on Friday October 12 th, at 6:30 PM, with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament at 7:15 PM, and Eucharistic Adoration through the night until 8:00 AM, Saturday, October 13 th. The Statue will remain on display in the Church until 1100 AM, when she will be processed to the America Needs Fatima Rosary Crusade, in front of the church, (weather permitting), which will start at 1200 Noon. She will be reposed into the Church between 2:00 and 3:00 PM. Vigil Mass will be at 5:00 p. m. -After all Masses, the custodian of the statue, Mrs. Judith Studer, will give a short talk about Our Lady s appearances at Fatima, the history of the statue itself and about her trips around the world with the Fatima Apostolate. She will also discuss her own miraculous healing from cancer, through prayer and the intercession of Mary. -The Rosary will be prayed hourly between all Masses. Our Lady will be on display again after Holy Mass, until 1000 PM Saturday. -Saturday Anticipated Mass is at 5:00 PM. On Sunday, the Church opens at 6:00 AM. Masses are at 7:30, 9:30, 1130, with Mass in Spanish at 5:00 PM and in Portuguese at 7:00 PM. The Church will close at 9:00 PM -On display with the statue will be first-class relics of Saints Francisco and Jacinta, two of the three children who were visited by Mary at Fatima over a century ago. Also on display will be a piece of the oak tree over which Our Lady appeared. Qué pensar de los de fuera, que hacen algo bueno y presentan las manifestaciones del Espíritu, sin creer aún en Cristo y adherirse a la Iglesia? También ellos se pueden salvar?

4 El que no está contra nosotros, está por nosotros Uno de los apóstoles, Juan, vio expulsar demonios en nombre de Jesús a uno que no era del círculo de los discípulos y se lo prohibió. Al contarle el incidente al Maestro, se oye que Él responde: «No se lo impidáis... El que no está contra nosotros, está por nosotros». Se trata de un tema de gran actualidad. Qué pensar de los de fuera, que hacen algo bueno y presentan las manifestaciones del Espíritu, sin creer aún en Cristo y adherirse a la Iglesia? También ellos se pueden salvar? La teología siempre ha admitido la posibilidad, para Dios, de salvar a algunas personas fuera de las vías ordinarias, que son la fe en Cristo, el bautismo y la pertenencia a la Iglesia.. El Concilio Vaticano II dijo que «el Espíritu Santo ofrece a todos la posibilidad de que, en la forma de sólo Dios conocida, se asocien a este misterio pascual» de Cristo, y por lo tanto se salven. Ha cambiado entonces nuestra fe cristiana? No, con tal de que sigamos creyendo dos cosas: primero, que Jesús es, objetivamente y de hecho, el Mediador y el Salvador único de todo el género humano, y que también quien no le conoce, si se salva, se salva gracias a Él y a su muerte redentora. Segundo: que también los que, aún no perteneciendo a la Iglesia visible, están objetiva- Francisco: El camino del cristiano es el de la misericordia Francisco ha exhortado, a seguir el camino que nos indica el Padre Celestial: el de la misericordia y el de la paz interior. Esto eso: a no acusar, maldecir y tratar de hacer daño al otro, de lo contrario, entramos en la lógica destructiva del gran acusador. Así ha aclarado, una vez más, las características distintivas del estilo cristiano a partir del Evangelio de Lucas (Lc 6, 27-38). El Señor siempre nos muestra cómo debería ser la vida de un discípulo, a través, por ejemplo, de las Bienaventuranzas o las Obras de Misericordia, ha señalado el Santo Padre. El Papa ha señalado que los cristianos nunca deben entrar en el chisme o en la lógica de los insultos, que lo único que genera es guerra. Por el contrario, el Papa exhorta a buscar siempre tiempo para orar por las personas molestas. El Sucesor de Pedro ha reiterado que la lógica cristiana va contracorriente y sigue la locura de la Cruz. El objetivo final, agrega el Papa Francisco, es llegar a comportarse como hijos de nuestro Padre. Sed misericordiosos, como su Padre es misericordioso ha citado Francisco. Este es el camino, el camino que va en contra del espíritu del mundo, que piensa lo contrario, que no acusa a los demás. Porque entre nosotros está el gran acusador, el que siempre nos acusa ante Dios, para destruirnos. Satanás: él es el gran acusador. Y cuando entro en esta lógica de acusar, maldecir, tratar de

PARA RECIBIR SACRAMENTOS Para los Sacramentos de Bautismo (para niños de 5 años o menor) y Matrimonio, incluyendo una Quinceañera, se requiere una cita con el Padre Arnulfo antes de comenzar sus arreglos. Para los Sacramentos de Bautismo (para niños de 6 años o mas), primera comunión y confirmación para todas edades, comuníquese con la coordinadora de la educación religiosa. Por favor, llame a la oficina parroquial para figar su cita o para mas información. MINISTERIO DE AYUDA DESPENSA Y CLOSET El Padre Arnulfo se enorgullece de anunciar el gran inicio del Ministerio de Ayuda: Despensa y Closet en la Parroquia Santo Tomas Apóstol. El objetivo principal es proporcionar asistencia de emergencia con Alimento y Vestido a los feligreses y miembros de la comunidad en situación de necesidad. Un grupo de voluntarios se ha integrado para formar este Ministerio de Ayuda. Otro servicio a ser ofrecido será el proporcionar información sobre las ayudas o servicios disponibles a través de Caridades Católicas, así como The United Way. El Padre Arnulfo expresa su agradecimiento a los Caballeros de Colon (Consejo 8900), por la organización de la colección de alimentos realizada durante la pasada Cuaresma; a través de los cuales se iniciará esta despensa de alimentos en nuestra Parroquia. Este Ministerio de Ayuda, también iniciará un Closet de Ropa al servicio de los necesitados. Todos estos servicios serán posibles gracias a la generosidad de ustedes, nuestros feligreses. Los invitamos a donar ropa limpia y en buen estado, así como alimentos para apoyar este hermoso Ministerio. La Despensa y el Closet estarán abiertos los segundos sábados del mes desde las 10:00 AM hasta las 12:00 del mediodía. Las personas interesadas en recibir ayuda, deberán dirigirse al salón parroquial. Luego los voluntarios los guiarán hasta el lugar de la despensa. Los letreros con la señalización correspondiente se colocarán solo en los días que la despensa esté abierta. Esperamos su apoye a este nuevo Ministerio con ropa, alimentos y oración por los necesitados. Para obtener más información, llame al y pregunte por Gloria. Santisimo Los invitamos semanalmente los jueves entre las 7 y las 8 de la noche para compartir una hora de Adoración. El último jueves del mes el tiempo de Adoración se extiende hasta las 10pm.
