This is not Mayberry folks so just realize that things do happen, but fortunately, they happen LOCAL NEWS Congrats to Harry Rose, the family patriarch on his 90 th birthday today. What s this? This is the international icon identifying a clue or, when the light should turn on.

3 Burglary Johnson Ferry Road /30 Someone forced their way into the guard shack/office where two safes are stored. Neither safe was forced open nor money taken. The complainant said the [perp] moved the camera next to the small office block Taylor Way (?) 5/1 This is a new residential area. Several appliances were taken from several homes under construction. Some of the home were not secure. The report said there was no sign of forced entry. Taken were Whirlpool stoves and microwave ovens Northwood Drive /1 The resident was gone from about 5:30 p.m. until just before 1 a.m. During that time, someone went into his apartment and took $100 in change, two watches at $100 each, and a MacBook, valued at $ block Mabry Road /2 The complainant said he was gone from 9:30 a.m. until just after noon. He went to the halfbathroom in the garage area and noticed a broken window with blood on it. Someone used a softball-size rock to break the window. It appears the burglar left after the dog began to bark. Larceny PDR /28 MVT (Recovered) Patrol officers spotted the car in the parking lot of Sweet Tomatoes restaurant. The tag showed the car stolen from Gwinnett County on March 3. It was not occupied. The car was impounded for Gwinnett PD to take possession block Morgan Falls Rd /28 (Recycling Center) The complainant said she is a volunteer at the center. She placed her purse on the bench in front of the office area while she volunteered. Sometime between 4 and 4:30 p.m., someone wallet from the purse. Others at the center said a white male named Nicholas, asked about the wallet earlier and they believe he took it. The victim, for some reason, would not give the officer the name of the person who saw Nicholas.

4 Okay, you are reporting the crime and have a good lead from a co-worker who may have taken your wallet but you won t tell us who that witness is? And of course, you still want a report? Don t think so. This officer was nicer than I was. He took it. If your witness is wanted or otherwise not willing to speak to the cops who are trying to help find your stolen items, don t call Roberts Drive /30 An employee of a company resigned and then refused to return equipment including a Dell computer, two monitors, keyboard, and desk phone. The complainant said the ex-employee said she d return the items when pay issues are worked out block Roswell Road /3 (Tijuana Joes) A customer ordered the Rancho Grande Burrito, small cheese dip, and two 12-ounce Margaritas. He then consumed them and refused to pay the $29 tab. The customer was still there, and intoxicated. He was asked to pay, he babbled something, and then babbled it again, and then went to jail. I m guessing that jail is where you don t want to be when the Rancho Grande Burrito comes back to haunt you block Dunwoody Place /30 MVT The caller said he works for Allstate Roadside Assistance and was at the Citgo on Dunwoody Place, helping another motorist when his car was stolen. The car, a gray Dodge Charger, was left running and on the other side of the parking lot. Two or three suspects in another Charger, silver in color, drove by. A short time later, two young looking black males exited that car and stole the victim s Charger. The victim threw a lug nut, breaking the driver s window. The car left north on Roswell Road and into City of Roswell. The victim s phone was tracked to the Riverside Road where K-9 officers found it near a church. The car and suspects remain at large River Exchange Drive /1 The caller said his previous roommate took a 65-inch TV, Apple Desktop Computer, HP Laptop, PS4, and and a TV wall mount. He said the ex-roommate and a female were leaving the apartment as he was driving up. He said the suspect and he were in a previous nine-year relationship. While

5 the officer was at the location, the suspect called the victim s phone and said he got what he deserved and he was going to sell the items block Spring Creek Lane /2 MVT The caller said she parked the car around 11:30 p.m. and left. She returned about four-hours later to discover the car was missing block New Northside Dr /2 MVT The caller said he parked his truck at the worksite around 8:30 a.m. until the afternoon when he discovered it missing. No clues at this point. 6 Fraud Complaints Roswell Road /28 Forgery Roswell Road /28 Fraud block Huntcliff /30 Friend did her taxes and pocketed the $452 refund 5461 Johnson Ferry Pkwy /1 Fraud/Elderly block Summerset Ln / block Brookview Cir /1 Assault Northwood Drive /30 (Aggravated Assault) The 61-year old victim said he was involved in an argument with a woman earlier in the day. That evening, he went to LaDona Bar/Nightclub on Northwood Drive. As he exited the club, the woman confronted him verbally, and then hit him in the face with a bottle causing the bottle to shatter. With the broken bottle, she then jabbed him in the face causing some serious cuts. The woman then fled. The victim was taken to Northside Hospital. A warrant was obtained and the woman was arrested a short time later block Granite Ridge Place /2 Officers were called to the residence just before midnight regarding an armed person with a Machete. They found the suspect, and later the machete, and began asking questions. The suspect said his roommate was behind on rent and this began an argument. The suspect apparently left the room but returned, swinging the machete and demanding others in the room to leave. The suspect was later arrested.

Once inside, the elevator started up but then immediately dropped down. The woman did not know how far it dropped but told officers that they wanted to go to the hospital with lower back pain PDR (Home Depot) /2 (Threats) The store manager said a woman called who sounded very angry over the noise the delivery trucks made when they deliver. She told him she thought she was calling the corporate office and her beef was with the Home Depot Store in Lawrenceville. She told him this is why people get guns and shoot other people, adding that she is a raging alcoholic when she does not get her sleep. Arrests Hammond Drive /28 The Citizens Apartments-The female resident called just after 4 a.m. after she saw a man whom she did not know, knocking on her door and attempting to get inside. Responding officers found the man running from the location towards the Fairfield Inn next door. He was caught and detained. Two additional female witnesses said two weeks prior, the same man approached them, asking if they could get him access to the second floor. They refused and he pulled the fire alarm. On March 17, police officers called to a McDonald's restaurant in Okeechobee, Florida, found Derril James Geller of West Palm Beach had passed out in his car while waiting in line. Geller was arrested for driving on a suspended license (a crime for which he had been charged three previous times). But that's just the tip of the ice cream cone: The Okeechobee News reported that in January, an Okeechobee woman was charged with DUI after passing out at a different area McDonald's drive-thru, and in December, a Texas man also received a DUI for nodding off in the line at that same McDonald's. 9 Ruan Rocha da Silva, 18, was caught in late March trying to steal five cans of deodorant from a supermarket in Sao Paulo, Brazil. His prominent tattoo might have given him away: A year ago, after Silva tried to steal a bike from Maycon Wesley Carvalho, 27, and Ronildo Moreira de Araujo, 29, the two men forcibly tattooed Silva's forehead with the words "I am a thief and an idiot." The Daily Mail reported that Carvalho and Araujo were caught after filming themselves inking Silva's forehead and sending the video to friends; both were sentenced to jail time. Silva is out on bail, awaiting trial for shoplifting. [Daily Mail, 3/26/18]
