1 Comann na Mara Programme of 3 Day Onshore Events St Kilda Challenge 2018 Lochmaddy to St Kilda : Rathlin to St Kilda Thursday 14 th June 5pm to 6pm : ( Exterior Event ) Hog Roast at Lochmaddy Hotel. Also weather permitting.. Pipes & Drums. 6pm to 6.30 pm ( Exterior Event ) Adjacent to Hotel. There will be the Official Yacht Event Briefing given to all participants. 6:30 to 7:45pm The Official Event Reception will be held for all in the Lochmaddy Hotel. There will be a great selection of local produce to sample. Also a Gin tasting event by Harris Distillery will also take place. Immediately after, Calum Iain MacCorqodale and friends will musically entertain all until pm till 10pm Gary Innes : Musician and Broadcaster. At the BBC Alba Trad Music Awards in He was awarded the' Instrumentalist of the Year.' He also hosts Take the Floor for BBC Radio Scotland. This is a Taigh Chearsabhagh programmed event. He will perform with his support musicians in Lochmaddy Hall.. Tickets 10-8 Concs. (1)

2 Friday 15 th June 9am : Lochmaddy Bay ( Dependant on Tides ) A time will be given. There will be the Official Start to the Lochmaddy to St Kilda Challenge. The Rathlin leg will start earlier to coincide with all yachts as they arrive at St Kilda. The race will finish at St Kilda then they will all come back to Lochmaddy late Saturday morning. 1pm till 2pm : Lunchtime Theatre in Lochmaddy Hotel. A Play a Pie and a Pint. Come a little early and have one.. That well known and much loved Scottish Actor Dave Anderson relates through, humour, song and storytelling, the last night in the life of Chick Murray. What A Funny Place to put a Window It is well recognised that the universally applauded Scottish comedian was and still is a man to be much admired for his unique style of humour, wit and one liners. Tickets : 12 ( Includes refreshments ) 7:30 10pm Ross Ainslie and friends will both entertain and delight. Ross is not only an international artist on global music circuit but is also highly regarded as a composer of pipe and fiddle music. Do come and hear their wide and inspiring range of music and instruments. Local artists will be invited to play with them as the concert progresses. Lochmaddy Hall : Tickets 10-8 Concs. (2)

3 Friday 15 th June 9pm to10pm : Hamersay House Hotel. Dave Anderson will be in Cabaret. Do come and hear his songs from his amazing spectrum of past works. This event will take place in the Lounge Bar.... 7:30pm -10pm : Scottish Screen will adjacent to the Auction Mart. A programme will soon be announced. Saturday 16 th June 10am Onwards.. Lochmaddy Marina. Yachts will start arriving back from St Kilda. 11am. The Tractor Rally will be on show at the Calmac Ferry Marshalling area for all to see and admire. This popular annual event is organised by the North Uist Agricultural Society. Times to be confirmed. 1pm 2pm What a Funny Place to put a Window A Play a Pie and a Pint. Once again performed by Dave Anderson at Lochmaddy Hotel. 2pm 5pm 2pm 5pm A Skiff Invitation Race at the Uist Boat Club. More details of this invitation race will be given soon. 4 Saturday 16 th June 6:30pm 7.15 pm The Official Prize Giving Ceremony will take place in Lochmaddy Hall. There will also be a Cocktail Demonstration given by Harris Distillery. 7 : pm Calum Iain MacCorqodale and his friends will provide music and entertainment for our Grand Ceilidh Dance. Tickets : 12-9 Concs 9pm 10pm Dave Anderson will once again be in Cabaret in the Lounge Bar of Hamersay House Hotel. Throughout the 3 Day Onshore Programme of events in the car park in front of Lochmaddy Hotel there will be a range of stalls displaying local products and produce. Please visit and support. Also throughout the 3 day event there will be in the Auction Mart ' Art in the Mart ' : Run by Uist Arts Association Whereby Uist artistes will be displaying and selling a wide range of paintings and other richly varied works of art.
