(b) Business Arising (i) Appeals Committee That the Appeals committee be asked to provide an executive summary to State Council on the status of fundraising and the impact of Woolworths on the appeals. 6 (ii) Report from Chief Financial Officer (SC Minute 21/15.1) That a review of State Branch s travel and accommodation costs be undertaken by the Acting State Secretary. (iii) National Pooling Expenses (SC Minute 21/15.3.(b).(ii)) That NSW seeks a more equitable formula for the calculating of National Pooling Expenses. Report by MR White, State President RESOLVED: That the issue be an agenda item for the forthcoming meeting between the NSW CEO and the CEO of National. (iv) State Councillors Partners Expenses (SC Minute 13/15.5.(b).(ii)) That Mr Humphreys and Mr Crosthwaite review that State Council travel policy with reference to partners travel and travel insurance. (SC Minute22/15.1.(b).(ii)) That the matter be deferred until August State Council to incorporate policy on cab charge and Hyde Park Inn usage. Amended State Council Charter submitted for consideration RESOLVED: 1. That any amendments or contributions to the State Council Charter be forwarded to Mrs Ally Moylan by Friday 18 September That a vote of thanks be extended to Messrs Humphreys and Crosthwaite for their work on the State Council Charter. (v) The ANZAC Salute Project (SC Minute 22/15.6.(b).(ii)) That the project be progressed by State Branch staff with reports to State Council. That The Returning Officer call for nominations to fill the casual vacancies of Far Western Councillor, Riverina Councillor, Central and Eastern Councillor and Honorary Secretary. "That the 4 Women's Auxiliaries in the Central and Eastern Area be absorbed into neighbouring Districts." (vii) Life Membership (SC Minute 22/15.11.(ii)) That the State Secretary investigate the proposed changes to the Life Membership application form and process and report back to State Council. Life Membership form submitted for approval RESOLVED: That the amended electronic Life Membership form be adopted and placed on the NSW website. (viii) Police Association of NSW (SC Minute 23/15.8) That the Police Association be invited to discuss the issue with the State President. Gloucester sub-branch Seeking approval to add the Westpac Helicopter Appeal placed on the Donation List, due to the sub-branch members strong support and the services it provides for country people. RESOLVED: That the sub-branch be advised that such donations are covered by Tier 3 of the donation plan Narromine sub-branch Seeking approval to reconsider the sub-branch s request to donate $25, to the Narromine Aviation Museum. RESOLVED: That the request not be approved as the donation does not meet the aims and objects of NSW Auburn sub-branch Seeking approval in principle to purchase home units for Veterans welfare purposes for DefenceCare to use and for the sub-branch to fund a Community Support Worker.
