May s monthly luncheon at the Oak Lawn Hilton will highlight the Oak Lawn Chamber with an All About Your Chamber presentation! It will be all about the Chamber, the people who comprise both the Executive Board and the Board of Directors, the many ways you and your business can engage in the community, be involved in various events and committees and learn how to use your page on the website to help attract new business. 2 President s Message continued June will bring Opening Day for the Farmer s Market! Reservations for weekly slots go quickly. Often times the emphasis is on the business aspect of Marketing, but as we found out this weekend, it is just as important for residents to see your business in the community and that you are interested in supporting the community. For customers to routinely Shop Oak Lawn they will need to know you are here! Lastly the Mega Multi Chamber Business after Hours held at the Oak Forest Bowl is an opportunity for you to engage with members from several local Chambers and expose your business to a wider audience. Plans are currently underway for the Chamber s largest fundraiser and signature event-the Annual Golf Outing at Stony Creek in July. Be a sponsor join a foursome donate a raffle basket prize or come for dinner and be part of the fun and excitement! Contact the chamber office for more details on how you can be involved. Finally, Follow the Chamber! Visit the website check out the events calendar each month and challenge yourself to become engaged! Again this year, the Chamber will offer a spot for a member per week to be our featured at the Chamber table. Spots will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations are now open. The cost to reserve the spot will be $ (The market is open rain or shine, so the fee is non-refundable.) NOTE: The business must provide their own table and chairs. They are welcome to bring a tent. The Chamber has a tent available for use (at no charge) however, the business is responsible for transport, set-up and take down of the tent. For more information, contact the Chamber office.
