22 Other Events organized by SAHIC & 16 May 2017 Melia Cohiba Hotel - Havana, Cuba The inaugural Conference SAHIC Cuba designed to promote the hotel, tourism and related real estate businesses in the island nation took place in Havana on May 15-16, After two full days of activities, the event proved to be the place to provide the attendees with new opportunities to expand their network while learning where the industry is heading and how business are done in the continually emerging Cuba. All the expectations for this first edition of SAHIC Cuba have been surpassed: Nearly 225 top executives and investors from 26 countries around the world attended the event. The first edition of Costa Rica Sustainable Hotel & Tourism Investment Conference offered by ICT and organized by SAHIC was held on November 13 & 14, 2017 at San José. It brought together nearly 250 key players from 18 countries who took advantage of plenty of networking opportunities to boost their business. The President of the Republic of Costa Rica addressed the closing remarks and emphasized that it was the first time that an investment conference was based on the sustainability approach in the world. Attendees could learn from international speakers, key topics such as: investment and development opportunities in the region, the potential for luxury resorts in sustainable Costa Rica; optimal financial practices and strategies for growing the Costa Rica market.
