3 PAPER BAG AUCTION FRIDAY & SATURDAY NIGHTS 1. Please buy something interesting/funny, package it up in a BROWN PAPER BAG or something that doesn t give away what it is. It does not have to be expensive just something that will give the winner of the Auction a laugh. 2. If there are 2 of you, we just need you to provide one paper bag for the Auction/s per couple, not one each. 3. We will advise how/when these will be collected prior to the Auction on Friday. 4. As usual, there will be some competitions/games arranged between the 2 Clubs for the AWESOME TROPHY that is up for grabs. THEME FOR WEEKEND WHAT TO BRING The Theme for Saturday night will be Anything DISNEY The Trophy will be up for grabs. Sheriff and Deputies will be around on Friday and Saturday so bring some coins as you will be fined. - Your "Theme" costumes. - Your sense of humour. - Items for the Auction. - Your Mustang. 6 Saturday Cruise 1 st Stop Otago Peninsula and Taiaroa Head is a unique and very special place. It is a place that every visitor to Dunedin should see. David Attenborough, BBC $22.50 if paid in advance before 1 st Aug 18 or $25.00 on the day. Chill out in the café or walk around the peninsula s public access sights. Fort Taiaroa, established over 100 years ago to counter the threat of invasion from Tsarist Russia, overlooks part of the albatross colony and the Fort is now a museum. Today, visitors to Taiaroa Head are very fortunate to be able to view the only Armstrong Disappearing Gun of its type in the world, still in working trim, in its original gun pit. Inspect at first hand the great 1886 six inch caliber hydraulic Saturday Cruise 2 nd disappearing gun, sitting in its gun pit in full working order Stroll through the underground tunnels and view the deep-down Stop magazines. Check out the detailed models which show how the gun worked. Inspect the view from the fully equipped Battery Observation Post with its original (1886) depression range finder. 6

7 High Tea Larnach Castle HIGH TEA PLUS GARDEN ENTRY $34.00 pp, normally $42.50 pp If members wish to visit the Castle in conjunction with High Tea, it s just a small upgrade paid at the castle reception. High tea includes a selection of home-made sandwiches, slices, scones and cream cake and a pot of tea. High teas will be served from 1.30pm. Park in front of the Castel for a photo not to be missed. Important Notes All High Tea plus garden entry need to be paid in advance before 1 st Aug 18.
