Leave for Kandy. Visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic of the Buddha (Sri Dalada Maligawa), which houses the most important Relic of the Buddhists in Sri Lanka. A gold canopy was erected some years ago over the roof of the shrine room where it is placed. In the evening view a colorful cultural show of Kandyan Dancers. The finale is a display of firewalking. Overnight stay at Hotel in Kandy.

2 Day 02 Kandy - Bentota Travel Time Approx. 3hrs 4hrs After breakfast leave for Bentota. En-route visit the Elephant Orphanage at Pinnawala. The orphanage was created to protect abandoned and orphaned elephants. It has now grown into a popular elephant attraction in the country and with good reason, for no where else except at Pageants (processions) are you likely to see so many elephants at close quarters. The elephants are controlled by their mahouts (keepers) who ensure they are fed at the right times and don t endanger anyone but otherwise the elephants roam freely around the sanctuary area. There are many elephants in residence from babies to young adults. Among the attractions, you will be able to witness elephants being lead to a nearby river for bathing. You could also see the feeding of the baby elephants which is the highlight of the visit. (The center opens at 8.30am and closes at 6.00pm daily. Best times to visit is during bottle feeding at 09.15am and bathing time at the river at 10.00am). Rest of the evening at leisure. Overnight stay at Hotel in Bentota. Day 03 Relax on the Beach

3 After breakfast you have the entire day to chill out at the beach and soak up the sun. Enjoy the rest of the day by the sea. Overnight stay at Bentota. Day 04 Bentota - Galle Travel Time Approx. 1hrs 2hrs p.m. After breakfast leave for Galle. Galle is the best example of a fortified city built by Europeans in Southeast Asia, showing the interaction between European architectural styles and south Asian traditions. UNESCO world heritage center - the Galle fort is the largest existing Dutch colonial fortress in Asia, and is home to varied religious places of worship, government and commercial Buildings. You can spend hours exploring the famous Dutch fort, Colonial type ruins and Museum. Galle is a perfect mix of Sri Lanka's historical past combined with a busy market town and its colorful markets. Galle is the only place in Sri Lanka that still retains an old world atmosphere. The sounds of Galle are the call to prayer from Mosques, Pali chants from Buddhist temples. Galle is home to a fairly large Muslim community and you have a big mosque in the old part of town next to the lighthouse. It's from 1904 and looks a lot like a church in its architecture, but it is a mosque and it's being used quite actively. Check into the hotel in Galle. Overnight stay at Hotel in Galle. Day 05 Galle Relax on the Beach
