With many sites and scenes bottled up in to a small island, a traveller could be riding the waves in the dawn and admiring the green carpeted mountains by dusk. Travel destinations in Sri Lanka provides an array of holiday experiences from sun kissed beach holidays to a marathon of wildlife watching, adrenaline pumping adventure sports and pilgrimage to some of the oldest cities in the world. En route visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage to see baby jumbos wondering around their cramped foster home or bottle fed and bathed by their human foster fathers. It is the foster home of elephants. Observe these gentle giants of different ages and sizes as they feed, bathe, play together and even mate. These elephants have been found injured or left abandoned in the wilderness. Visit the Kandy town and bazaar, the arts and crafts centre, a gem museum and a lapidary. Also visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic in Kandy. Thereafter, witness a cultural show. 2 Detailed Itinerary Day 03 Kandy- Colombo Today, you will be transferred to Colombo; a sprawling metropolis whose contrasting districts offer an absorbing introduction to Sri Lanka's myriad cultures and multi-layered history. Overnight in Colombo. Day 04 Colombo Activities - Included in Your Trip Enjoy a city tour of Colombo (Seat in coach). Time Colombo 11:00 3:00 Duration Today, enjoy a city tour of Colombo. Visit the Old Parliament, Independence Square, Town Hall, Viharamaga Devi Park, BMICH, National Museum etc. Galle Face Green is a magnificent place to witness a marvelous sun set over Sri Lanka. Many colonial buildings influenced by the Portuguese, Dutch and British exist alongside structures built in Buddhist, Hindu, Islamic, Indian and Contemporary architectural styles.
