1 Community Weekly Update for June 7- June 13, 2014 A Love Note from Me to You Dear Neighbors, Our preferential runway, 13R/31L(Denton), is currently closed for approximately 45 days to facilitate two airfield construction projects. The closure began Tuesday May 27, 2014 and is scheduled to reopen Wednesday July 9, During the period of the closure, the Preferential Runway Program will be suspended. In an effort to serve you better, Dallas Love Field has opened the Airport Communication Center (ACC) for your use. The ACC is currently staffed from 5am to 11pm to answer and direct your airport related concerns. Between the hours of 11pm and 5am, all calls will be transferred to the Airport Operations Communication Center. The current noise hotline number will be replaced with the ACC number, LOVE (5683) so please spread the information to your neighbors and friends! We are excited about the progress and changes that are taking place here at Dallas Love Field and we want you to be excited as well! 2 Taxiway Activities Work continues on taxiways A, B, and D. As work continues along these taxiways, there will be some limitations on the access to the approach ends of RWY 13L/31R (Lemmon). Taxiway D between Taxiway C and Taxiway P was closed Tuesday May 28, 2013 as work continues for the next phase of the Love Field Modernization Project (LFMP). Construction Activities This phase of the project is expected to be completed in 2014 and it includes the demolition of Gates 4 through 15 of the west concourse and the baggage claim wing. If you would like to learn more about the LFMP please visit: Runway Closures Scheduled Runway Closures for Routine Maintenance RWY 13R/31L(Denton) will be closed until Wednesday July 9, 2014 for two airfield construction projects. Ongoing Airfield Closures The following taxiways will remain closed until further notice: Taxiway D closed lighted and barricaded between Taxiway D1 and C. Runway 18/36 closed lighted and barricaded between Taxiway A and Runway 13L/31R. Taxiway C between C2 and D closed to aircraft with wingspan greater than 118ft; prior permission is required from Airport Operations. *Please see the airport diagram on the next page for the locations of runways and taxiways.
