DALLAS LOVE FIELD COMMUNITY WEEKLY UPDATE February 13 February 19, Dallas Love Field Community Weekly Update Crazy little thing called Love Field By: Young Hour IN THIS ISSUE Announcements Learn more about mankind s pursuit of flight at the Frontier of Flight Museum located at 6911 Lemmon Ave Dallas, Texas The Museum provides a rich history about aviation progress; housing numerous aircraft in a modern 100,000-square foot facility. Bring the family and Love ones and let their imagination take flight! Parking is free, snacks and beverages are available for purchase at the Museum Store. Please be advised that there could be an increase of general aviation traffic due to these games: Dallas Mavericks will not be hosting home games during the NBA All- Star Game. Next schedule home game will be Feb 21 st, against the Sixers at the American Airlines Center. Noise Complaints You may submit noise complaints to the Department of Aviation through the PublicVue portal on the Love Field website at and clicking the Aircraft Noise Complaints button on the right side of the screen. You may also submit complaints via the Airport Communications Center at LOVE (5683). The Airport Communications Center (ACC) is staffed 24 hours a day to direct your airport related concerns. 2 DALLAS LOVE FIELD COMMUNITY WEEKLY UPDATE February 13 February 19, 2 Construction Updates Runway Closures Scheduled Runway and Taxiway Closures All closures will be coordinated through Airport Operations and will be permitted based on weather and operational impact. Mon/Feb 15 th : Runway 13L/31R closed for EAS to position X panels and cover signs preparatory to closing Taxiways D and A2 for the runway hold line relocation project. Mon/Feb 15 th 0700 Fri/Feb 19 th 1800: Taxiways A2 and D between Runway 13L/31R and Taxiway A will be closed for EAS/Runway Hold Line Relocation Project. Wed/Feb 17 th 2300 Thurs/Feb 18 th 0500: Runway 13R/31L closed for Airfield Maintenance conducting general maintenance. Ongoing Airfield Closures The following taxiways will remain closed until further notice: Taxiway A3 and Runway 18/36 between Runway 13L/31R and Taxiway A are closed for the runway hold line relocation project. Both areas are expected to open on Sat/Feb 13 th * Please see the airport diagram on the next page for locations of runways and taxiways.
