11 HIGHLIGHTS Saturday & Sunday: Welcome to paradise Checking in: The excitement is strongest on the very first minute of your arrival to Novalja. Your journey to Croatia was beautiful but long and now it s time to kick back and enjoy! Welcome party: Just like last year, we will come together on Sunday for the first party of Hard Island Croatia 2017 in Cocomo Club in center Novalja. Entrance will be very limited, so come early! Monday: The party starts WarmUp Pool Party: Our Clubbing Partners will throw the perfect party to start Hard Island 2017 with a bang! This is your first 11

12 day on the pool, bring sunglasses and sunscreen ;) RAW The Boat 2: While most of us will be splashing in the pool, almost 300 vassals will raw the boat on beats of Deetox, Digital Punk and Sub Zero Project! The Opening Fiesta: This is the first time you will feel the might of the biggest edition of Hard Island yet. Hard beats blasting out of Kalypso and Euphoria all night long! Tuesday: It s gonna get Intents! Intents pool party: We ve brought the beach to Intents and Intents will bring the Circus to Hard Island! Get ready to rumble at the beach stage of Kalypso! Boat parties: Radical Redemption will be a special guest of Crypsis, Chain Reaction and Sub Sonic on RAW The Boat. Then Angerfist will gather his strongest soldiers 12

Coone is back: After the Beach Party hosting in 2015 and the Sunset Cruise in 2016, Dirty Workz is taking over the mainstage of Kalypso and gave us no choice but to bring their biggest weapons. Needless to say - the bossman is back! Mad Dog: Performance of this hardcore legend is becoming a tradition at the mainstage of Kalypso. Get ready for 90 minutes of complete madness and get ripped to pieces by the brutal hardcore sounds. Brutale: Jaws stage is taken over by the most ruthless of groups playing the fastest hardcore you can imagine! 13

14 Wednesday: Expect the unexpected! Boat parties: Witness the battle of the albums on Dirty Workz Battleship! Later on, the most sinister pirates in Adriatic sea will gather on the very very special Hardcore Italia Pirate Cruise! Roast Pool Party: After two days of full-on partying, we will be burnt out. Put on your shades, caps and a thick white layer of sunscreen, grab a hotdog and endure the heat of the roast! Closing Tulum: Whoever visited us in 2016 knows that Tulum means no rules. Secret lineup is how we do, giving artists the chance to hop on stage for surprise sets and crazy b2b performances. Expect the unexpected! 14

25 Minimum age The minimum required age to attend Hard Island Croatia is 18+. You may be asked to provide identification proving your age. Please bring valid proof of identification with you so that you do not risk being refused entry. Valid proof of identification includes a driving license, valid passport or identity card. 26 Drugs & alcohol We have a zero-tolerance policy to drugs! This is also enforced by the local authorities. Therefore no form of soft and/or hard drug is permitted which means marihuana and hash are also prohibited. When you drink alcohol please be mindful and exercise caution. Remember to celebrate safe! Loud music & Noise You can do anything you like, as long as you respect the house rules of your accommodation and general rules of conduct in the town of Novalja. The house rules will be given out in print and explained upon your arrival to the check-in point or accommodation. Be aware that breaking house rules, especially playing loud music or producing noise in the late evening, at night or early morning could get you kicked out of your accommodation. You might get a fine for all disturbances - Novalja is an 26

27 accommodation area not only for you but also its permanent residents! Environment We believe in a sustainable future and we care for people & our planet. That s why our team has committed to care for the environment. In 2017 we will use electrical vehicles for most of our operations during Hard Island and we plan to do more every year. We would like you to be part of our mission. First and foremost, please do not print this Infobook or your Vouchers - having all that paper is annoying and redundant. We can give you your bracelets without printed documents. Second but even more important, please be mindful and considerate to the environment around you during your entire stay in Croatia. Minimize the waste and handle it properly. Natural and cultural 27

28 sights here are priceless and can not be restored if destroyed. We as the organisation and you as the visitor have full responsibility to keep this beautiful environment intact. That s why we want to warn all our visitors to help us keep Hard Island and surrounding area as clean as possible. Let s reduce our waste and recycle if in any way possible. Do not throw waste or cigarettes on the ground, and especially not in nature, same goes for any other inflammable objects, such as lighters, spray cans, certain types of cosmetics etc. The climate is very hot in Croatia, so you can cause a fire that destroys vegetation, kills animals and puts human lives in danger! And last but not least, please be kind and leave your apartments/rooms as you ve got it. Be proper and clean up your trash. Take care of yourself & others Even though this is a party holiday, so much partying demands a lot more energy than 28

29 you think. Sleep, eat and drink (nonalcoholic) plenty. So make sure you eat at multiple moments of the day. The weather can be devilish hot in Croatia. It is important to get enough fluid and salt. Don t forget to use sunscreen. Simply said, take care of yourself as well as others. Hospitals Hospitals and clinics are located in larger cities like Zadar, Split and Zagreb while ambulance, first aid clinics and pharmacies are located in Novalja. Foreign tourists with valid health insurance of countries with which Croatia has signed a Social Security Agreement do not pay for emergency medical care during a private stay in the Republic of Croatia if they have a contract providing confirmation of their right to health care. Health care (including transport) is used for emergency cases in the manner and according to the regulations valid for Croatian citizens covered by social security, with identical 29

30 participation in health care costs. Persons coming from countries with which there is no health care contract or agreement bear all the costs themselves, so it is advisable to opt for travel insurance with a private insurance company. Police Please beware that police is strict in Croatia! There are no tolerance for public disturbances, especially destructive or violent behaviour, as well as possession of illegal substances. Shops At every accommodation area (Novalja, Gajac or Stara Novalja), you can find local shops or small markets on almost on any 30

31 corner, but if you are searching for a supermarket, you can visit Hiper Novalis (Monday - Sunday 7:00-21:00. Near main intercity bus terminal), Konzum (Monday - Sunday 7:00-21:00. At Sajužnja ulica - edge of Novalja) or Plodine (Monday - Sunday 9:00-22:00. Near the Novalja Center roundabout). Restaurants Grabbing a quick bite or savoring the specialities of the Island of Pag (Pag cheese, lamb, needle macaroni, curd strudel, a variety of fish and seafood dishes, traditional domestic delicacies such as 'hrostule' and fritters), all accommodation areas (Novalja, Gajac or Stara Novalja), as well as Zrce beach offer numerous places to fill yourself up and recover your energy to party once again. 31

32 We especially recommend you to visit restaurants Moby Dick, where Holiday package customers get a welcome drink, Antonio, Sidro, Boskinac and taverns Arka, Stari Mlin and Antika. Bars Unlike shops, you will find a bar on EVERY corner and EVERYWHERE. :) Keep in mind, this is the main summer party destination in Croatia. Clubs and bars are an integral part of it and they will be happy to welcome you and your friends at almost any time of day. 32

In the case of check-in, you will need to arrive at Check-in point #1, as our other check-in points will be closed. There you will exchange the vouchers for the appropriate services and we ll help you get to your accommodation as quickly as possible. 35

37 Check-in process To check-in into your accommodation, you first need to arrive at your assigned checkin point (see your voucher). A map with locations of all four check-in points is in this infobook, as well as their addresses. At your check-in point, you will exchange your vouchers for the appropriate services and will be escorted to your accommodation. If you are coming by car, you will have to follow a scooter/car from one of our accommodation providers. If you arrive by our airport transfers, the drop-off point will be at your designated check-in point. Bring your ID! Every visitor must bring their personal ID or passport for purposes of tourist registration. Please bring a printed copy and the checkin process will be quicker. Inform your friends as well - this is a must for every person staying in Croatia. 37

38 Respect House rules! Upon arrival to the check-in point or accommodation, you will receive the House rules which you must abide by. Please read more below. Check-out process On the day of your check-out, you handle everything with the accommodation provider/owner. The instructions for checkout process will normally be part of the House rules. If they are not, the owner shall explain them to you. You will always be able to call your accommodation provider/owner on the contact number provided on House rules. Additionally, our team will also be available. Please be prepared to return the keys and leave the accommodation tidy. If you did not break any of the House rules, the owner will return your safety deposit. 38

39 Early checkouts Departures in middle of the night must be announced at least 24h prior to your departure! We are not responsible for your timely communication with the accommodation owner, while we can provide assistance. Late check-out is not possible! Keys You will receive a single key for your accommodation. Make sure to not lose it and communicate with your friends to not leave them behind the locked doors! Please check your voucher to make sure you arrive at the correct check-in point. Losing the key may result in partial or full loss of the safety deposit (dependent on the policy of the accommodation owner). 39

40 Be a good roomie All accommodations are private, except bed in a shared dormitory room. But this does not mean you are the only resident of the property. You are staying with your friends and fellow Hard Island visitors, so we ask you to be nice and be considerate in general. Some residents may not be visitors of Hard Island and don t want to be disturbed. Staying with so many likeminded people in the same apartment, house or street is an opportunity to make new friends - you are all here to have a great time! Wash the dishes. Keep the apartment clean. Don t lock your friends outside by leaving the key in the door. Smoke outside. If you make a mess, clean it. If you break something, take responsibility. 40

41 Don t have a place to stay? Staying on the beach is not allowed! It is not possible to accommodate yourself on the beach and is prohibited by the law. Local authorities can fine you and we are not held responsible for securing proper accommodation for yourself. Driving between your accommodation area and Zrce beach Our advice is to use the local bus service to get to the Festival Venue. Driving under the influence of alcohol is strongly prohibited and heavily penalized in Croatia! If you haven t already booked your local bus bracelet, you will be able to do so at our check-in points and ticketing offices. 41

42 FESTIVAL VENUE Clubs Kalypso Beach Club is structured so all visitors have a great musical and visual experience. Visitors with regular access will always be in the center of the party while VIP visitors will have access to extra dancing space, VIP-only bars and toilets, better view of the stage and faster movement over the VIP bridge. For better view regarding accessibility check the venue map. Super VIP visitors will have their own table reserved every night of the festival. Euphoria Club is a club with an underground vibe and a big open air stage, right on the beach. It is known for their amazing cocktails and central position on the beach. While VIP-only entrance and bar is available in Euphoria, please note there is no SuperVIP area. 42

45 Wristbands & accessibility You will be able to exchange your vouchers for the appropriate wristband at the Ticket office or at any of the Check-in points during their official opening hours. Please check our venue map to find out more about accessing different areas. Regular, VIP and Super VIP wristbands gives you access to all festival days Each boat party wristband gives you access to one appropriate boat party. If you purchased more than one boat party ticket, you also need to have more boat party wristbands. DO NOT put your boat party bracelet on until the day of the boat party! The Full Experience wristband is given only to visitors with official Holiday packages and they will provide few nice benefits. Additional terms may apply. You will be able to enter & exit both clubs at any time during festival hours. 45

46 Wristbands will only be given out once. Wear the wristband during your whole stay, don t take it off because it will become invalid. No wristband means no entrance to the Festival Venue! Payments at the Festival Venues You will be able to pay with cash (Croatian Kuna - HRK) or bank/credit/debit card at Kalypso Club and only with cash at Euphoria Club. You can bring EUR and exchange to HRK in local exchange offices, banks, hotels etc. In some bars and restaurants, you can pay with EUR but you will get the best exchange rate if you change your money to the local currency upfront in an exchange office or withdraw money from an ATM. ATM s There is an ATM inside the Kalypso Beach Club, while you can additionally find one at Zrce beach - if needed, ask for directions at our Tickets office. There are also plenty of ATM s in all accommodation areas. 46

47 First aid & Emergency First Aid is available upon calling and they will assist you in the shortest possible time. The nearest ambulance is located a few minutes away from the club. In the case of emergency, try to find Hard Island or Kalypso staff and call 112 immediately. If you feel that you or someone consumed too much alcohol (or drugs), please immediately notify Hard Island team, Kalypso staff or Security! Eating and drinking It s not allowed to take your own food or drink into the Festival venue. Festival venue offers a variety of drinks (including bottled water), as well as awesome cocktails & a food stand. On the beach, you can find some restaurants and local shops outside the Festival venue. Sanitary The festival is hosted in Kalypso Beach Club offer toilets separate for boys and girls. VIP, SuperVIP and Partner Lounge visitors will 47

48 additionally have access to separate less crowded toilets. Lockers Zrce Beach now offers a Lockers service so you can take your valuables with you without any risk or worry. Few facts about the lockers: Book your locker online in our Online Shop or when you arrive to Novalja. Keep in mind, the number of available lockers is very limited, better book early! You can choose from small lockers (14 cm height, 30 cm width & 50 cm depth) and large lockers (31 cm height, 30 cm width & 50 cm depth) If you have booked the 3 day rental of the small locker online, you will be able to come to the lockers and exchange your voucher for the locker key Each locker has a 220 V socket and enables charging of your electronic devices The lockers are available 24 hours a day and are always guarded by security 48

49 Each locker has a unique key. In the case of the lost key, there is a 10 EUR fee for the exchange of the lock and the unit will be opened ONLY if the exact description of the content is provided. It is forbidden to store liquids or flammable substances in the units Lost & found You can hand them in and pick them up at the Ticket Office in the entrance of Kalypso. Our advice is to tag your personal belongings with your name, surname, and an international contact mobile phone number. Merchandise Official Hard Island merchandise will be available inside the festival venue. Official merchandise includes the famous & highquality Hard Island Beach Towel, Snapback Caps, different models of T-Shirts and Tank Tops and other items. 49

50 Kalypso beach Kalypso Beach is available for everyone and will be opened during the day beach party, but closed during the night parties for safety reasons. At the Kalypso beach you can jump into the sea without even leaving the club! Parking at Zrce beach Zrce Beach offers a big parking place but the beach is crowded in high season so there might not be enough parking to accommodate all visitors. Local buses from surrounding towns (Novalja, Gajac) will take you to Zrce Beach. You can get your local bus bracelet at any of our info points. The pick up/drop off point is on the beach parking, right next to the festival area. 50

53 BOAT PARTIES The meeting point for all boat parties is the HOTEL LOŽA in Novalja town center. Arriving at the boat Please arrive at the HOTEL LOŽA at least 30 minutes prior to boarding! There will be a staff member that will direct you towards the boarding point. The boat will depart on time and will not wait on anyone who arrived too late. Anyone who misses the departure will not receive a refund. Boarding the boat The boarding will start 15 minutes prior to the start of the boat party. Make sure you have your appropriate boat party wristband to show at the entrance. The wristband for boat parties will be cut off your hand when boarding. There will be a 53

54 security check prior to boarding. Bringing your own food and beverages on board is not allowed. The party Once everyone has hopped on board, we will set sail to the open sea. As the hard beats are pounding we'll be cruising next to Pag Island and beautiful islands around it. All boat parties last no less than 3,5h and include 3 hours of music! 54

55 TRANSFERS General The official Hard Island airport transfers are operated by experienced and trusted local companies. We have set up this service to provide our visitors with an affordable and convenient way to reach Novalja from the three biggest airports in Croatia. If you haven t booked your transfer yet, please visit our online shop. Arriving to Novalja Upon landing, please find our Reception team outside the airport, where you will be greeted and directed to the bus/van. You can always ask our staff for additional information. On the bus/van there will be a guide who will check your voucher and keep you company while you drive to Novalja. 55

56 Returning to the airport From very early hours on 7 and 8 July the local buses will be driving around Novalja, picking up and dropping everyone at the main Bus station of Novalja. Transfers driving from/to Split airport might also make a stop at Zadar airport. In Novalja your transfer will circle around all the drop-off points (Accommodation check-in points), so make sure to get off the transfer at the appropriate check-in point that was appointed to you (you can find this information on your voucher!). 57

64 LOCAL BUS The local bus is the cheapest form of local transportation and it is especially convenient due to many bus stops in and around the town, including right next to the festival venue. If you haven t purchased your local bus ticket on our shop, you can do so at all the sales points. The price for unlimited rides in Novalja area is 25 EUR for 5 days Local bus (2-7 July) and 30 EUR for 7 days Local Bus (1-8 July). 64
