8 There are a few things that we need to be super clear about in advance of you arriving at the festival to ensure you get access to the festival as quickly and stress free as possible! Entry to the festival is by ticket purchase only. A small amount of tickets may be available from the box office at Blue Gate Age 11 to 15 Weekend Tickets must be accompanied by a Ticket holding parent or guardian over the age of 30. By purchasing a child (age 10 & under) ticket or a teen (age 11-15) ticket you are confirming that you are either the parent or legal guardian of the teen or child for whom you are purchasing. Alcohol is allowed into the campsite. We ask that each person only brings a reasonable amount for themselves to enjoy (note no glass bottles). Alcohol is not allowed to be taken into the arena. We apologise to those who think this is unfair however the festival is subsidised by the profits made from the bar and without it we simply would not be able to bring you all the great acts and entertainment on offer without drastically increasing the ticket price (which we don t want to do!). DSLR cameras are permitted on site for personal use. Any press related photographers should contact our press team in advance of the event. As part of our license agreement our security team will undertake general searches on entry. This is done for the safety and protection of all. Please find a handy list of what you can and can t bring to the festival. Onsite Facilities Phone charging - Will be located at the entrance to the science garden. Lockers/storage - Will be located at the entrance to the science garden. General festival store with festival essentials Vitals like milk, toothpaste & loo roll! First Aid & Welfare First Aid and Welfare are situated in the Arena next to the Star Pavilion and also in the campsite. Merchandise Cash Machines Are available in the main arena near the merchandise stands Stalls Space jewellery, festival hoodies, T-Shirts and plenty more! 8 8
9 General Information Point Opening Times The main festival information point is located in the arboretum and open from 9am - 9pm Accessibility On arrival to the access campsite you will see a small tent, please head here to check in upon arrival and collect any viewing platform passes. In order to gain access you will require your viewing platform pass which can be collected from the access information point on site. This must be arranged in advance. Sustainability / Cup recycle Scheme We are running a re usable cup scheme to help us at bluedot festival take care of THE blue dot. We will be charging 1 per cup for your first drinks. This helps us to reduce wastage at the festival and work towards creating an more sustainable and environmentally friendly event. Leave No Trace/Environmental/Clean up Cheshire is a beautiful place. Green fields and untouched landscapes are what make it beautiful. It is not acceptable to litter and abandon possessions while you are at Jodrell Bank. Please make sure you put your rubbish in the recycling bins provided around the site. We are operating a food bank collection point, please drop off any unwanted unopened non-perishable goods please visit our information point. 9 9
10 Safety & Security There are some unsavoury characters unfortunately targeting festivals across the UK so it s best to be aware. Here are some tips to help keep you and your valuables safe. 1. Keep your phone and wallet on your person 24/7 2. TENTWATCH: Know your neighbours, make friends with them, watch each other s kit 3. Install Find my iphone or Find my Phone on your smart phone 4. Thieves are less likely to target clean & tidy camping areas ask us for bin bags Final word Thanks again for joining us in the fields. We hope that you have found this pack useful. However, if you have any further queries please take a look at our FAQ s page first, as your question may already be answered! If not, please contact us hello@discoverthebluedot.com 9 We re really looking forward to starting the first year of bluedot off with a bang and we can t wait for you all to join us. See you there! bluedot team x 10 10
