1 GENERAL TARIFF Conditions -All rates are expressed in USD dollars except where RD$ shown explicitly. -All rates are exempt of 18% ITBIS/VAT unless specified in the tariff below Basic Agency Fees (covering first 4 days at anchorage or in berth) (18% ITBIS/VAT Applicable) TARIFF PORT: RIO HAINA The regular working time (RWT) for the Port Authority in all ports of the Dominican Republic is MONDAY - FRIDAY from 08:00 to 12:00 from 13:00 to 17:00 SATURDAY from 08:00 to 12:00 For cargo vessels up to 2000 DWT US$ For cargo vessels from 2001 to 4000 DWT US$ For cargo vessels from 4001 to 8000 DWT US$ For cargo vessels of more than 8001 DWT For passenger cruise ships US$ US$ Agency Fee additional days For each additional day regardless of vessel size US$ Overtime compensation (Ship s Boarding Clerk) (18% ITBIS/VAT Applicable) For first 4 days or part thereof US$ For each additional day US$ Agency transportation For first 4 days or part thereof in port US$ For each additional day US$ For Signing On/Off Crewmembers (crew visa waiver) (each Plus expenses incurred such as hotel, transportation, immigration. Export Freight Revenue Tax All export freight earnings on cargo shipped from Dominican ports are subject to tax which currently amounts to 2.8% of the gross freight. This is based on the premises that 10% of the gross revenues of the carrier are net earnings, and these are taxed at 28%. The carrier s local representative, or in his stead the steamship agent for the vessel, is responsible for this payment on a monthly basis and hence this amount is included with the request for advance for port disbursements to all Owners.
