6 Conduit Seection A conduits are not created equa REIKU s patented conduit profie aows for a smaer bending radius without having the actua convoutes interfering with one another or reducing the inside diameter of the conduit. An independent detaied anaysis report is avaiabe upon request comparing REIKU s conduit to it s eading competitors. Athough REIKU offers 15 different choices of conduit in it s main cataogue, the foowing 5 compounds are most commony used for Robotic appications. Your conduit seection shoud be based on the foowing operating conditions: Temperature range of the appication area Potentia chemica or sovent contact (consider cean-up e.g. paint robot) Scope of dynamics or mobiity of the appication Potentia for physica contact or abrasion situations Combined weight of conduit contents REIKU offers 3 grades of Poyurethane conduits that are a derived from the same compound but are offered with different wa thickness. The thinner waed PU RR conduit was designed for extreme dynamic appications but offers a shorter potentia cyce ife. Medium waed PU RM and PU RV reinforced versions are ess fexibe but offer more cyce ife or ongevity. REIKU suggests two different compounds of Nyon 12 conduits for Robotic appications. Nyon 12 conduits are consideraby more robust than Poyurethane based but not quite as fexibe. Nyon 12 aso offers more resistance to the above-mentioned environmenta infuences. PA RA series conduits have been tested to withstand in excess of 15,000,000 repetitive cyces before fatiguing whereas the PA RR compound has a sighty shorter cyce-ife, ess fexibiity but is considered to be the more durabe/integra Nyon 12 compound. Note : PA RF is aso avaiabe, this is a reinforced or thicker waed PA RR. exampe of conduit type: PA-RRG-70G, with supporting function exampe of conduit type: PU-RRB-70G, highy fexibe For some appications REIKU recommends the use of Nyon 12 conduits in more static areas and then with use of a bue coored protector (PA PRB) spice into a Poyurethane conduit for areas where there is more motion or dynamic actions. See picture. Diameter seection shoud be based on the tota expected cabe or hose contents. REIKU conduit diameters are isted as Inside Diameter or I.D. When cacuating the contents it is advisabe not to consider 100 % fi of the conduit. This wi avoid potentia chaffing of hoses and wires inside the conduit and aso aow for future hose/cabe additions.
