6 Daily Schedule Overview Day 1 Registration: Upon arrival on campus, we will be greeted by staff all dressed alike and jumping up and down who will help us get where we need to go with regards to housing and registration. Pastor Todd will then register the Antioch Kids group while the other adult leaders from ABBC will help the campers choose track times and get t-shirts. Upon group registration, adult leaders and campers will move into dorm housing and get settled in. Dinner: Campers need to be prepared for a scheduled meal rotation which may be different than what is listed on the camp schedule so that campers are not waiting in line due to the large number of campers. Opening Celebration: A high-energy kick-off of the week for everyone in the auditorium. Team Time/Adult Meeting: Campers will dismiss with their team leader (CentriKid staffer) for Team Time and all adult leaders will stay in the auditorium with the camp director for lots of details and to answer any questions any church staff may have. Campers will return to the auditorium and churches will be dismissed with church group host to church group room. Antioch Kids Group Devotion Time: Time to talk about the day and what God is doing in your group. We will take the first night to set a goal for the missions offering and will also do our first group devotion time. Afterwards, campers can visit the store or hang out with friends. In-Room and Lights Out: Campers will head to their rooms at 10:00. All campers will be in their rooms by 10:15 pm each night and lights turned out by 10:30 pm. Day 2 Day 4 Quiet Time with Antioch Kids Group: This is a time in the morning before the craziness of camp begins. Each camper will receive a devotional guide for this time on Monday. They will be able to go through the devotion on their own, teaching them how to have a quiet time when they leave camp. I Can t Wait : This energy-driven, programming element gets campers ready for each day of camp that includes announcements and such. Bible Study: Adventure Awaits This summer we will study the passage of John 8:12 and learn how Jesus is the one True Light and how we can follow Him.
7 Key Verse: Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life. John 8:12 ESV Day 1 Jesus Is the One True Light: Campers unpack the Key Verse from John 8:12. As they practice memorizing the verse, they explore how they can follow Jesus light because His Light is with them. Day 2 The Light Reveals Our Need: In Bible Study, campers discover that when the light reveals our need for Jesus, we can repent. They act out the story of Sau s conversion in Acts 9, and see that Jesus reveals the truth about our hearts and actions. Day 3 The Light Shows Us the Way: Campers examine Daniel 6:1-28 to see how Daniel trusted God to show him the way in a difficult situation. They discover how they can trust God because the Light shows us the way. Day 4 The Light Brings Us Life: Campers use their senses to experience the story of Ruth. They see that as the Light brought Ruth life, she grew in love, service and in giving to others. Because the Light brings life, we can grow too. Day 5 The Light Shines Through Us: Campers learn that when we follow the One, True Light, we will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life. Recreation: Campers will play fun games led by their CentriKid Camps Team Leader that builds teamwork and relates back to what they are learning in Bible study. All campers are required to wear closed toe and heel shoes. (No sandals, Crocs, or flip flops.) OMC (Organized Mass Chaos): This occurs on Thursday, Day 4. Every camper will compete for their color by completing task cards. Every player is trying to complete a different task, but the biggest rule of the game is that you can t say no, so every time a camper asks another for help, they must stop their task and help. After a camper completes the task, they drop it into their team s colored bucket and get another task card from the numbered flag indicated on their completed card. The team with the most task cards in their bucket wins! Each grade will have a color: 3 rd Grade: Yellow 4 th Grade: Green 5 th Grade: Blue Adults: Orange All campers need to wear their grade s color for OMC. Note: The Antioch Kids ministry will provide each camper with their grade-colored shirt for OMC at Camp.
8 Track A, B, and C: Campers will choose from a list of tracks on Monday during registration. They will select their top six and will get three of their choices, one for Track A, one for Track B and one for Track C. All six should be choices that the camper would enjoy, as they will participate in same Track choice every day. Note: Tracks are subject to availability. Tracks to choose from: Archery Art studio Baseball Basketball Build it Cheernastics Creative dance Drama Flag football Kitchen chaos No boys allowed Outdoor games Sign language Soccer Splish-splash Tennis Volleyball Weird science Wet & wild Hang Time: Time for staff and adults to hang out with the campers as they go to the store, swim in the pool, play Frisbee, etc. There will be options for each day set up for kids put together by the staff that will be announced at camp. There will also be time to visit the CentriKid store and SBU Bookstore for snacks, souvenirs, etc. Evening activities: All-Camp Worship and Antioch Kids Group Time before all campers must be in room by 10:15 pm and lights turned out by 10:30 pm. Closing Day After breakfast, campers and adult leaders will load bus and shuttle prior to checking out. There will be a final camp Bible study and closing celebration before all churches depart at approximately 10:15 am. Missions Focus Information and details about this year s mission focus are not yet available. We will communicate those when they are received from CentriKid.
