JUST LOOK AT ALL WE OFFER Our camp day is scheduled with age-appropriate activities from 9am 4pm Monday through Friday. Plus! We re open for before and after camp care from 7am 9am and 4pm 6pm. That s 11 hours of care daily! And we offer campers an in-house or traveling field trip as well as a t-shirt! SIBLING SAVINGS = For Each Additional Child in Camp, Save $100! With our sibling savings option, you save more for each additional child you send gether camp. For each additional child who attends camp, you save $10 a week! That s a savings of up $100 for each additional child. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE We offer financial assistance for those who need help afford summer camp. Healthy Kids Day! SATURDAY, APRIL 27 Camp Preview Open House Meet our staff while your child enjoys a preview of all the wonderful activities they ll experience at Camp. WEDNESDAY, JUNE pm Meet Your Child s Counselors Meet and interact with your child s counselors! Learn about each counselor s skills and abilities. Enjoy fun meet and greet activities. Your child will feel at ease well before camp starts! SATURDAY, JUNE pm APRIL 27 JUNE 19 & 22 Safety and Staffing: A Winning Combination! Our day camps meet the highest health and safety standards of the YMCA and the NYS Health Department. Camps are inspected twice each year by the Department of Health and files are available for inspection at your county health department office. Our hand-picked staff are trained in First Aid, CPR, pool safety, heat and sun safety, age-appropriate activities, conflict resolution, rainy day play and more! Staff training includes almost 30 hours before camp begins. Our camper counselor ratios follow best practices, with ratios from 1 counselor 6 campers 1 12, and pool ratios from 1 3 (for non-swimmers) 1 8 (for deepend swimmers). There are always two certified lifeguards on deck when we re in the pool! Camper Safety Safety comes first at the Y. That s why we ask all campers celebrate camp in ways that are respectful themselves, other campers, and our staff. To ensure the safety of all those in our care, a camper whose behavior poses a risk safety may be removed from camp. Phos and Videos To help share the fun of summer camp, YMCA staff use phographs and videos that feature children from our camps for promotional materials. Refunds We cannot refund the cost of camp for the voluntary withdrawal of a camper due illness, vacation, or other absence (temporary or permanent), or for the dismissal of a camper. 1

3 OUR PROGRAMS Build Confident Children PRE-SCHOOL CAMP 5 Days Ages 3 and 4 9:30am 12:30pm Weeks 1 8 Let us help your little one gain independence and learn cooperation skills through fun activities that promote early literacy and help develop mor skills. We lead pre-schoolers through games, crafts, sry time and more. (Children need be potty trained, please.) Y HALF DAY CAMP FOR HELDEBERG CAMPERS Grades 1 6 Weeks 3 7 Children registered at Heldeberg Camp are welcome attend morning care with us and then take the bus Heldeberg. Campers return the Y around lunch time. All campers who register will be eligible for a field trip or experience if they choose. During field trip days, the YMCA is only able provide bus sp service. Registration for Heldeberg is not through the YMCA. Please contact the Heldeberg Camp for more information. DAY CAMP Entering Grades 1 6 Let us help your child build confidence while enjoying a variety of engaging and fun programs and activities. We encourage your child develop independence while learning new skills. Campers also enjoy swimming, sports, art, and special events. We focus on activities that encourage physical involvement, social interaction, educational opportunities, leadership building, personal growth and creativity. Campers are divided in groups by the grade they re entering in the fall, with activities appropriate the interests and needs of each group. Each week has a fun theme and includes a fun, hands-on experience or field trip. KINDERGARTEN (K) CAMP Entering Kindergarten Designed for children preparing enter Kindergarten, our K Camp gives young campers a full day camp experience dedicated their imagination and sense of wonder, with shorter activity blocks, transitional games and added staff engage and care for your camper. SPECIALTY CAMPS Specialty camps are an add on your child s day. These camps take place in the morning and run Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Children travel each Wednesday on the weekly field trip. Art Week 5 Grades 2 8 Your child will love exploring different artistic mediums and forms. No experience is necessary. All abilities are welcome. Friday afternoon, campers display their artwork in an art show for other campers and parents visit and enjoy. LEGO Crears Week 6 Grades 2 6 Your child is sure get inspired with the world s most iconic construction ol: LEGOs. Campers enjoy activities, free build time and fun games led by certified staff from the LEGO Academy. Fitness Enrichment Week 8 Grades 4 8 This camp is geared ward getting your child moving with cardio exercise, resistance training and fitness games designed improve her/his overall coordination, endurance and strength while having fun and making friends. CAMP REGISTRATION TWO WAYS TO REGISTER: 1. ONLINE AT complete your child s registration. 2. AT YOUR YMCA BRANCH, a kiosk will be available for you complete your child s registration. Staff are always available for assistance. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION/APPROVALS: Once you register, you will receive an from CampDoc.com requesting medical information, immunization records, emergency contacts and authorized pickups, as well as approved medical emergency information, pho/video permission, activities, and sunscreen release forms. This is all completed online and must be completed prior first day of camp. 2

LITs enjoy all the fun of camp: swim lessons, games, sports, crafts, community service projects, field trips and more! LITs need participate in an orientation prior beginning camp. Saturday, June 22 9am 12pm Parents/Guardians attend an informational meeting (9 10am) and teens enjoy time gether for their orientation, through 12pm. Lunch will be provided. Along with the weekly field trips, this program includes an extra field trip each week. Experience as a CIT helps teens grow as leaders by participating in skill building activities. Teens learn how cooperate, communicate and work gether as a team. It s an opportunity for teens grow within a supportive environment and gather the ols they need become successful and confident members of a community. Camp Chingachgook on Lake George JUNE 22 FREE TOURS & FAMILY DAYS! Please join us at Chingachgook for our Open House events on April 28, May 5 and May 19. Swimsuit & Towel A plastic bag for wet swimsuit & wel along with goggles, if your child needs them. Baseball hat or visor Backpack Large, sturdy backpack with luggage tag with your child s name on it. Insulated Lunch Bag Provide your child s lunch (that does not need be refrigerated) along with snacks & drinks Complete Change of Clothing Water bottle Filled with water Sunscreen Non-aerosol only Sweatshirt It can get chilly during the day PLEASE ADD YOUR CHILD S NAME TO EVERYTHING SHE/HE BRINGS TO CAMP.
