4 UPGROUND RESERVOIR NOW AVAILABLE FOR FISHING AND BOATING The City s reservoir, located off Raymond Road in Paris Township, measures approximately 171 acres in surface area and extends to a depth of 40 feet. There is a 2 mile walking trail at the top of the reservoir. Enhancements to the Upground Reservoir facility were completed in These improvements allow recreational amenities that will enable small motorized watercraft (not to exceed 10 horsepower) to boat on the reservoir and to permit public fishing. The reservoir has been stocked with yellow perch over the last two years in preparation for these improvements. The facility includes an additional parking lot for boat trailers, wider access drive, larger boat ramp and adjacent boarding dock. These enhancements will allow access and maneuverability for vehicles with boat trailers. The City of Marysville received $427,250 in funding from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Watercraft Cooperative Boating Facility Grant and the ODNR Division of Wildlife Boater-Angler Fund for the design and construction of the reservoir improvements. 2
