2 Day One: Wednesday, December 6, 2017 Morning departures are scheduled from Carson City & Reno/Sparks. Travel via deluxe motorcoach west to the City by the Bay! This afternoon we ll check in for our Two Night Stay at the newly renovated Hotel Zephyr, the only hotel with access directly onto Fisherman s Wharf! (Formerly the Radisson Hotel, and one of our club s favorite places to stay!) Tonight we ll head for the North Beach district of The City and our hosted dinner at Original Joe s. Original Joe s history runs deep, beginning in 1937 as a 14-stool counter on a saw dust covered floor. It was opened by a Croatian immigrant, Tony Rodin, a man who landed here in search of the American Dream and the promise to provide something great for those who had the will to seize it. It was Tony s will, honest work ethic and vibrant sense of hospitality that grew Original Joe s into the culinary institution it is today. Later this evening we remain in North Beach for the 8pm performance of: Beach Blanket Babylon's Holiday Extravaganza! San Francisco s hilarious pop-culture musical revue features a chorus line of tap dancing Christmas trees, special parodies of traditional Christmas carols and the gigantic Yuletide hat. Celebrating over 16,000 performances and seen by over six million people from around the world, this internationally acclaimed production continues to delight audiences with its spectacular costumes and outrageously gigantic hats! Beach Blanket Babylon follows Snow White as she takes a fast-paced journey around the world in search of her Prince Charming. Along the way she encounters a starstudded, ever-changing line-up of hilarious pop-culture characters, including Donald and Melania Trump, Vladimir Putin, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Adele, Hamilton, Kellyanne Conway, Darth Vadar (Steve Bannon), Barack and Michelle Obama, Taylor Swift, Prince, Ivanka Trump, Bernie Sanders, Kim Kardashian and Kanye, Hillary Clinton and Bill, the Giants, Warriors and more! Day Two: Wednesday, December 7, 2017 Enjoy breakfast on your own this morning before we depart the hotel and head to the newly reopened San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. After a three year closure and a mulit-million dollar expansion budget, SFMOMA has just reopened with more than double the exhibit space and new acquisitions of more than 250 pieces of contemporary art from the Don Fisher (Gap Clothing Company) private galleries, featuring 21 Warhols, 23 Gerhard Richter, 45 Alexander Calder mobiles. Following our morning visit to SFMOMA, the rest of the day is at your discretion to explore. We will make a stop at Union Square to drop off anyone interested in some holiday shopping

3 before returning to the hotel. We ll provide maps & tour suggestions if you d like to take a city tour by bus, limo, bike or walking. Trolly Cars begin their journey across the city just a couple of blocks away. You might prefer to wander a couple of blocks from the hotel to Pier 39 and check out their amazing Christmas Tree display, enjoy some of their 50+ shops, including the Left Hand Store and a store dedicated to Trolly Cars. There is also a selection of more than 20 dining & snacking options. Just a couple of blocks the other direction will put you at the end of Fisherman s Wharf and the iconic Ghirardelli Square for yummy chocolates, some fabulous eateries and unique botiques. Day Three: Friday, December 8, 2017 The marketplace is very committed to the artisan food community and serves as a vibrant gathering place of local farmers, artisan producers, and independently owned and operated food businesses and the customers they serve. We ll have a couple of hours here to explore their special shops and enjoy lunch on your own before boarding the coach for a late afternoon departure home. Enjoy breakfast at your leisure this morning before we check out of the Hotel Zephyr. Then. What makes the Ferry Building San Francisco s most famous landmark? First is its strategic location at the foot of Market Street --- on the western edge of the continent, and at the center of the city s financial, banking and transportation district. Second is its history as the primary portal of the city. Third, is the dramatic clock tower that has been the icon of the San Francisco waterfront for more than a 100 years. Special Notes for this tour! Due to traffic restrictions in San Francisco, guests participating on this tour must be able to walk distances of 2-3 city blocks (mostly flat) as coach may not be able to do front door pick up and/or drop off on day one & two. This tour also has independent touring time on day two. Guests wishing to be dropped off at Union Square will need to secure their own transportation back to the hotel. (Cab fare approx. $9) The performance at Beach Blanket Babylon is an 8pm performance (runs 90 minutes) and is adults only. Breakfast is not included at the hotel ($25 per person minimum in SF for groups) but there are several options within the block of the hotel.
