The Dancing Bellman, a crowd favorite, will be offered daily during the entire Christmas season. We ll enjoy a welcome reception and later have dinner at the hotel s memorable Café Magnolia, followed by Christmas bingo if it is offered that evening. 2 Day #2 / Tuesday / November 29 (CONTINUED) 12:00 PM Lunch (on your own) at Kentucky Derby Museum 1:30 PM Historic walking tour of Churchill Downs Racetrack This morning we ll tour the Louisville Slugger Museum for their special Christmas display. Then we ll head to the Kentucky Derby Museum which features a 360-degree high-definition film, "The Greatest Race that puts us in the heart of the Kentucky Derby action. The Historic Walking Tour of Churchill Downs Racetrack is included with our Kentucky Derby Museum experience. View the grandstand, clubhouse, finish line and winner's circle as knowledgeable tour guides showcase the history and tradition of Churchill Downs Racetrack. Our tour includes a visit with our equine residents located in the backyard paddock. The special holiday event includes Reindeer Games where holiday magic transforms the racehorses into racing reindeer and in a mock race with holiday style. We ll wager on our favorite reindeer to win the race. 3:30 PM Depart Churchill Downs Racetrack 4:00 PM Return to the Galt House Hotel with time to freshen up before dinner 6:00 PM Ladies for Liberty and Soldiers of Swing: A Kentucky Christmas Dinner Show at the Galt House Hotel with dinner included 8:15 PM Depart dinner show with the rest of the evening at leisure We ll return to our hotel where we ll see the Ladies for Liberty and Soldiers of Swing: A Kentucky Christmas Dinner Show. This show will take us down memory lane when they bring a 1940 s touch to the Christmas at the Galt House 2016 Holiday Dinner Show, performing holiday favorites in the Andrews Sisters style vocals, hairstyles & costumes reminiscent of the era. And of course, the Galt House Hotel will dazzle your taste buds with a scrumptious holiday meal. Day #3 / Wednesday / November 30 This morning, we travel to Bardstown and visit Federal Hill Mansion, "My Old Kentucky Home" of Stephen Foster's ballad. During the Christmas Season the mansion is bathed in the warm glow of candlelight. Elegantly dressed guides will greet us at the door to escort us back in time. Holly, pine and fruit garlands, magnolias and the glow of candlelight adorn the stately mansion, while live traditional holiday music will fill the rooms with melodies. 3 Day #3 / Wednesday / November 30 (CONTINUED) Experience located in downtown Louisville s historic Whisky Row. Step back in time to 1783 and experience life and distilling as it was in the early days of the republic. This guided tour features an operating Artisana Distillery where we will not only learn the process for making Bourbon, but see it being made right before our eyes. The tour also includes premium Bourbon tastings. Then we travel a short distance to visit Lights Under Louisville at the Louisville Mega Cavern. The cavern is transformed into an underground holiday light spectacular for the Christmas season. This evening we ll enjoy the Holiday Show at the Derby Dinner Playhouse. 1:45 PM Arrive at Evan Williams Bourbon Experience in Louisville for guided tour and Bourbon tastings 3:30 PM Depart Evan Williams Bourbon Experience 4:00 PM Arrive at Louisville Mega Cavern (Mega Cavern features an underground holiday light spectacular inside a cavern featuring over 500 lit characters with over one million lights. It is the only underground light show of its kind on the planet. Afterward, there will be time to visit their unique gift shop). 5:30 PM Depart Louisville Mega Cavern 6:00 PM Arrive at Derby Dinner Playhouse for Honky Tonk Angels Holiday Dinner Spectacular (This holiday musical follows the comic escapades of three country gals as they re-unite for a Christmas show. The Honky Tonk Angels bring with them a line-up of Christmas classics and country favorites perfect for the holiday season.
