The picnic at the look-out gave us a great view. The hypnotic effect of a campfire with 8-9 pots giving off mouth watering aroma while cooking dinner. YUM! The five star amenities, dining room/hall just suited all our needs allowing us to enjoy charades,board games & conduct our AGM. TOPS. Well done Billy & his fellow ground workers.

2 Presidents Report. Fay, What a great rally we had at Ivory s Rock. There is nothing better than a campfire to bring everyone together. I hope we get back there sometime for another winter rally, (when all the snakes are asleep). Once again Winton made us a new game to play. It seemed to be enjoyed by all in the sunshine on what was a superb weekend weather wise. Don t forget Winton would appreciate any ideas for activities as I m sure it must be extremely difficult coming up with something new and fun each month. Please help with any suggestions. We would like to organise another day out between rallies. Ideas are needed for this. Our last outing playing Bare Foot Bowls was very successful. I would love to hear any suggestions you may have. For our next rally Winton, our woodworks man, and Bill, our great editor are working hard creating an army theme for the weekend. Our visit to the museum on Saturday is bound to be something we will remember for a long time. I have been to the Vietnam memorial within the army grounds before and it is very moving. Please don t miss it. For those who have not been well, our thoughts are with you to get well soon. We would love to see you at our next rally. 5 We as Caravanners have of late made the news:- First The main element of truth is a fact that a lot of us who have hair are GREY. We use the caravanning life style in a recreational way & go out of our way to travel at off peak times, Club Rallies run Thursday _ Monday once a month. So make a point to miss the 5-9am rush & mad suicide school collection at 2-4 pm. If what Nicolle Flint experienced was the normal for that road way, maybe she could look to her travel times to ease the traffic burden. The comment made with regards to fancy 4wds & fuel saving. Most of are responsible& sensible & realise that this type of vehicle is required to met safety requirements for all road users. With regards to over taking, passing lanes are provided and consideration should be given to have roads improved by the Government. Now, since when have we not been One Country! I am told Mike has been around a few of our members of late. It would appear some of the new 12 Pin plugs are burning out as the pins are too close with high voltage going through them. UHF.CB Channel 5 & 35 are designated emergency channels & to be only used as such. Use 5 with duplex on. If no response try with it off. Channel 11 is the call channel to be used in initiating contact, then move to a vacant channel. Channel 22 & 23 are only to be used for telemetry, telecommand, packet data. NO VOICE. Should be fun, look at the pics and tell us what you know about it. Nothing gruesome. Easy. This is good. Saturday morning we have arranged a visit to the Oldest Spy School in the World! Well the Museum part of it. You will need PHOTO ID LICENCE OR PASSPORT. Does not have to be current. We intend to car pool to Barracks where you will be asked to sign Visitors pass. Which you must wear all the time. No photography permitted outside. OK INSIDE. No Smoking. Wear suitable clothing & footwear for your safety & comfort. At that time our Guide Capt. Dennis Magennis will escort us to the New Museum of Military Intelligence. Will take 2-3 Hours. Just long enough to make us hungry for lunch. In keeping with being looked after our ladies are going to arrange the Sat night dinner. Never put on a bad one on yet. Its army style. A small charge will be collected to cover the food. Our Winton will fill the evening in with the GUESS THE ODD THINGS.
