3 Bolshoy Ice Dome Большой Ледовый дворец Location Sochi, Russia Capacity Winter Olympics BOLSHOY ICE DOME SOCHI, RUSSIA seats STIL 012 The Bolshoy Ice Dome is a seat multi-purpose indoor sport arena in Sochi, Russia. Bolshoy literally means Major, hence the correct English name for the Bolshoy Ice Dome would be the Major Ice Palace. Opened in 2012, it hosted the ice hockey competition of the 2014 Olympics, serving as a main venue for the men s tournament and hosting the medal matches for the women s tournament. It costed $300 million to build the venue, including the temporary works for the Olympics. After the Olympics, it serves as a sport arena and concert venue. PIIROINEN was a seating supplier for the seats in Bolshoy Ice Dome. 4 5
