2 Welcome WHAT IS ONS? ONS is one of the world s leading energy meeting places. The event consists of a high quality exhibition, an esteemed conference and a unique festival. Here, the international oil and gas industry gather to network, debate and do business. In 2014, more than people visited the event. The main theme for ONS 2016 is Transition. ONS attracts high-level executives and politicians as well as specialists and young professionals from all over the world. The ONS Exhibition provides access to the most interesting companies in the offshore and overall energy industry. ONS is a non-profit foundation, and was established by Stavanger City Council, Statoil, Stavanger Forum and the Norwegian Petroleum Society. WHAT IS INTSOK? INTSOK was established in 1997 by the Norwegian oil and gas industry and the Norwegian Government, and has grown rapidly and now has more than 200 partner companies. The partner companies represent the entire oil and gas supply chain, which encourages active dialogue between oil companies, professional organisations, technology suppliers, service companies and governments. A number of partners will participate as Hosting Companies in welcoming you to Stavanger.
