Introduction / Welcome Welcome to the 2018 Netier National Capital Rally, Round 2 of the FIA Asia Pacific Rally Championship, Round 3 of the CAMS Australian Rally Championship and Round 2 of the Techworkz Automotive ACT Regional Rally Series. The 2018 Netier National Capital Rally will be conducted under the FIA Regional Rally Sporting Regulations. These regulations are available on the FIA Website: Events of this magnitude cannot happen without the tireless work and assistance of key stakeholders and I would personally like to thank all officials for their efforts in the lead up and during the event. A special mention must go to the team at the Brindabella Motor Sport Club for their incredible support for this event. We acknowledge the support of Mantra Hotels as our accommodation partner and Rally HQ and Pialligo Estate for the location of the Service Park. The Netier National Capital Rally has been designed with the competitor in mind utilising some of the best roads Canberra has to offer. The event has been set to be as compact as possible for the benefits of both crews, teams, media and other stakeholders. We are pleased to have the Asia-Pacific Rally Championship continue to be held in the Canberra region. AUD $2500 (Note: A four-hour testing session is included in the APRC Junior entry fee at no extra cost.) Australian Competitors (whether registered for ARC or a privateer as determined by the Organiser) but not Registered for the Pacific Championship or Pacific Cup. AUD $2000 The above fees include: Optional advertising proposed by the Organisers. An additional fee will be required if the Optional advertising proposed by the Organisers is not carried. An amount to cover the operation of the Rally Safe vehicle tracking system. Service Park The Pialligo Estate Service Park will be located approximately 9.2km from Rally Headquarters at: Pialligo Estate, 18 Kallaroo Rd, Pialligo ACT APRC Competitors can access the Service Park from 0900hrs Saturday 26 th May The Organisers will provide the following facilities at the Service Park: Public toilets Water tap for shared use Waste removal shared use Recycling facilities Waste oil collection shared use General venue security Security Guards will be on site from Wednesday 30 th May 2018 from sun down to sun rise. Two Way Radio Two way radios can be hired from BTW Communications 1/168 Gladstone Street, Fyshwick, ACT Article 7. Fuel & Tyres Fuel The use of Leaded Fuel including AVGAS is illegal in Australia. Fuel of up to 98 RON is available at most Service Stations. Tyre Regulations FIA Asia-Pacific Rally Championship Refer to Article 60 and Appendix V of the 2018 FIA Regional Rally Sporting Regulations. Article 8. National Laws / Customs Clearance Import of Vehicles and Spare Parts To temporarily import rally and support vehicles, parts, tyres and components into Australia without payment of Customs Import Duty and Sales Tax is either under an ATA Carnet or FIA / AIT Carnet de Passage en Douane. ATA Carnets are issued by the Chamber of Commerce in the Exporting Country. An ATA Carnet will allow the bringing of Rally Vehicles etc. into Australia for up to twelve months. All items not reexported within this period will be liable for Duty and Sales Tax. The Australian Customs website is: 6

Reconnaissance A two-pass reconnaissance for all competitors has been scheduled for Thursday 31st May hrs. All competitors taking part in reconnaissance must register at the Rally Secretariat to get all the necessary documentation before starting their reconnaissance. Vehicles used for reconnaissance must comply with Articles 25.1 and 25.2 of the 2018 FIA Regional Rally Sporting Regulations. Supplementary Regulations will include further details. The Reconnaissance Schedule will be included in Rally Guide 2 and published in a Bulletin. Competitors are reminded that all roads will be open to the public during reconnaissance and so must observe all applicable road rules and, at all times, be aware of oncoming traffic. Article 13. Scrutineering, Sealing & Marking Compulsory Scrutiny for all Asia-Pacific Rally Championship competitors will be held on Thursday 31st May 2018 from 1530hrs at Neal Bates Automotive, Hume. Article 14. Shakedown The APRC Shakedown will take place on the morning of Friday 1 st June Further information will be available in the Supplementary Regulations and Rally Guide 2. All Asia-Pacific Rally Championship-registered Competitors and selected other Competitors will be required to attend. All competitors at the Shakedown must have all livery, numbers and signage in place on their vehicles and must have completed pre-event scrutiny. Article 15. Start Procedure Ceremonial Start activities will be held on Friday 1 st June 2018 at Garema Place, Civic, ACT. The Rally Start will be on the morning of Saturday 2 nd June at TC0 which will be located within the Pialligo Estate Service Park. A map showing the location of this control will be provided in the road book. Article 16. Finish Procedure Refer also to Article 56 of the 2018 FIA Regional Rally Sporting Regulations. 8

10 The Rally will finish in the afternoon of Sunday 3 rd June 2018 at the Pialligo Estate Service Park. Article 17. Public Relations Activities All Asia-Pacific Rally Championship Entrants and other selected competitors may be asked to participate in Public Relations and Media and will be advised. Article 18.
