3 Canada Day Celebration Sun, July 1, 11am 11pm Celebrate Canada s birthday at beautiful! Come down for the patriotic ceremony at 1pm, grab a cupcake from Council at 1:30pm, and swing by Pop-Up City Hall until 6pm. You can also join the artists for a talk on Thursday, July 19 from 6:30 8:30pm. They will share images and stories of their once in a lifetime art residency experience last fall, when they travelled together to the small town of Graniti, Sicily and painted wall murals. Port Moody s Arts Assistance Program provides small amounts of financial assistance for individual artists and arts groups through a simple application and review process. Apply at portmoody.ca/ artsassistance Paint outdoors this summer Artists in the Park provides artists an opportunity to demonstrate and sell their work in Port Moody parks, the Port Moody Arts Centre, and the Port Moody Station Museum annually from May to September. portmoody.ca/artists Get your busking permit Sign-up for your busking permit through our Street Performers Program and start entertaining residents and visitors at various Port Moody locations. portmoody.ca/performers Design an outdoor banner Participate in our StreetArts Community Banner Program by submitting your design for banners that line the streets of Port Moody. Drop-in between 9 11am at the Noons Creek hatchery (Behind 300 Ioco Road). Bring your family down for a morning of community cleanup at Shoreline Park. Salmon Sundays at Mossom Creek Hatchery Every Sunday year round, 11am 1:30pm. Mossom Creek Hatchery (12 Mossom Creek Drive). Port Moody has two outdoor pools, and three spray parks: Rocky Point Pool ( ) 2800 block Murray Street Schedule & rates at portmoody.ca/recreation Westhill Pool ( ) 203 Westhill Place Schedule & rates at portmoody.ca/recreation Spray Park 2800 block Murray Street Rocky Point Park is also home to a public boat launch. The daily launch, retrieval and parking pass per day for 2018 is $20.70 (including GST). Ailsa Spray Park 400 block Glencoe Drive Easthill Spray Park Prince Street at Union Street SET to CYCLE? PoMo Rotary Bike Trials Park 2800 Block Murray St. This urban trials park was opened in 2001, and is tucked under the Moody St. Overpass. PoMo Rotary SK8 Park 2800 Block Murray St. The park features ramps, rails, stairs, grind edges and tabletops for skateboarders and BMX bikers. 11 TAKE THE Shoreline Shuttle Residents and visitors will be able to catch the free Shoreline Shuttle on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays between June 1 and September 3, Shuttle Visit portmoody.ca/ shuttle for a route map and schedule. The Shoreline Shuttle will be in service: 4pm to midnight on Fridays 1pm to midnight on Saturdays 1pm to 10pm on Sundays The service schedule will be adjusted for holidays (Canada Day, B.C. Day, Labour Day), and select special events (Golden Spike Days Festival, RibFest, Car- Day). The bus will travel in a one-way loop, leaving approximately every 30 minutes during operating hours.
