This event is organized since 1986 biannually in Asia and has evolved into the largest networking event in the region attracting political as well as business leaders. The 2012 APK will be held in English language for the first time. The APK will be followed by an optional supplementary programme covering the cities of Agra and Udaipur and culminating in Mumbai on where the 56 th Annual General Meeting of the IGCC will be held. The organizers of the APK include the German Chambers of Commerce abroad (AHKs), the Asia Pacific Association of German Business (APA) as well as the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology of Germany. The Asia Pacific Committee is supported by the Federation of German Industries (BDI), the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK), the German Asia Pacific Business Association (OAV), the Federation of German Wholesale, Foreign Trade and Services (BGA) and the Association of German Banks (Bankenverband). The Indo German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC) is the local host and organizer of the 2012 event. The AGM attracts around 700 members, diplomats, VIPs, industrialists, exporters, importers, media, associates and friends from the business community etc. making it an excellent platform for contact building and advertising in such an elite gathering. 2 Indo German Chamber of Commerce Awards 2012 We invite all members of the Indo German Chamber of Commerce to participate in the Annual Indo German Chamber of Commerce Awards for the year The award will be handed out at our 56 th AGM to be held on Wednesday, 7 th November, 2012 at the Regal Room, The Trident Nariman Point Hotel, Mumbai. The awards will be given in the following two categories: 1. Award for outstanding export performance by an Indo German Joint Venture. 2. Award for outstanding contribution towards the promotion of Indo German Economic Relations. The conditions for applying are as under: The first award is open only to Indo German joint ventures (mere technical collaborations are not covered under this category). It does not only cover exports to the Federal Republic of Germany but also to any other country or countries in the world. The second award is open to all Indian and German companies and individuals engaged in trade and economic relations between India and the Federal Republic of Germany.
