3 Industry 4.0: Precursor to the industrial Internet of Things The prerequisites for production and manufacturing are undergoing fundamental change because of the industrial Internet of Things and/or Industry 4.0. Industry 4.0 defines a products s entire lifecycle from the idea to development, manufacture, use, maintenance and recycling. The trade fair IT2Industry suits this development in IT and industry to a tee: It gives ICT companies that have digital products and solutions that pertain to Industry 4.0 an embedded platform where the IT sector reaches the industry and its decision-makers in various branches of industry. 4 Integrative marketplace in the age of Industry 4.0 The products and services that are presented at IT2Industry as part of the international trade fair productronica constitute the link between conventional manufacturing and the fourth industrial revolution. The first was held from November 10 13, Some 38,000 decision-makers from 80 countries attended productronica over the course of four days in 2015, and 2,800 visitors came specifically to attend target group productronica focuses on electronics development and production. IT2Industry primarily addresses managing directors as well as company and plant executives in the manufacturing, production, development, design and research sectors. SMEs in particular have a great deal of potential when it comes to solutions for digitalizing production, although the need for information about Industry 4.0 is very high, especially in SMEs. 10 Participation alternatives: Fees* Each main exhibitor and each co-exhibitor will be charged a one-time mandatory communication fee of EUR 455 The mandatory communication fee includes a basic entry in the exhibition catalog (print, online and mobile), one copy of the exhibition catalog (available at the fair), a basic entry in the Visitor Guide and other communication services The basic entry includes company name, location, hall and stand numbers and an entry in the product directory Exhibitors will be offered other entry possibilities such as in the product directory and additional presentations in these media on a special order form. These forms will be sent to exhibitors by IT2Industry s official media service partner jl.medien e.k in Unterhaching. Each stand space is also subject to the AUMA fee (EUR 0.60/m²**) and a fixed-rate waste disposal fee of EUR 3.00/m²**. 11 IT2Industry: Communication IT2Industry and productronica are promoted jointly via the following domestic and international channels. Besides their websites, the key communication elements are the newsletters of each event. IT2Industry is also promoted using the distribution lists of electronica, productronica and AUTOMATICA. As a result, IT2Industry reaches some 140,000 contacts in the industrial sector, from automotive to plant and machine manufacturing, electronics development and electronics production. Several media partners, trade associations and other multipliers are also included in our communication.
