1 SHAMMIES ON SAFARI End of Season Tour 2017 South Africa On Friday 29 th of September 2017, PRUFC will gather for another famous EOS Tour. This time we will be touring South Africa for 18 nights, starting at Johannesburg Airport and visiting Pretoria, Soweto, Durban, Port Elizabeth, Kariega Game Reserve, Knysna, Wilderness, Hermanus and finishing in Capetown on Tuesday 17 th October. We are aiming to take 30 tourists, so places will fill up fast. The itinerary is finalised, and outlined below is a guide. If you wish to express your interest, please see Alex Hoff Major. 2 Key Dates Start Friday 29 th September 2017 o Meet at 7pm at Johannesburg International Airport Finish Tuesday 17 th October 2017 o Finishing at 10am at the hotel in Capetown Note: 13 days off work Cost Fixed cost = $3,200 (depending on exchange rate) Includes: 18 nights accommodation, with breakfast Internal flights (2) Johannesburg to Durban Durban to Port Elizabeth Vehicle transfers 4 x Tour Matches 2 days of safari in Kariega Game Reserve, with 4 game drives and meals Numerous tours, highlights including: Soweto Knysna Boat Cruise Robben Island Ferry and Tour Table Mountain Cable Car Ride Numerous meals, highlights including: Wine tasting (x2) with lunch Special extras, highlights including Shark Cage Diving Special Tour Kit International Flights Tourists will need to book and pay for their own international flights to/from South Africa. Tourists must be in South Africa on the start date o We can help you book your international flights if needed, however that decision needs to be made by the tourist. o Options for flights have been provided below Tour finishes in Capetown and tourists are responsible for making their own way home, including the flight from Capetown to Johannesburg Flight Options There are a number of flight options available, including: Qantas o Only direct flight that leaves and arrives on the same day Leaves Sydney 10:50am Friday and arrives Johannesburg 5pm Friday o ~$2,200 return South African Airways o Stops in Perth Leaves Sydney 6:15pm Thursday and arrives Johannesburg 5am Friday o ~$1,600 return

3 Other airlines o All at least 1 stop, and leave Thursday and arrive Friday at varying times o Options include Virgin Emirates Etihad Qatar Singapore Tourists will need to be at Johannesburg Airport before 7pm on Friday 29 th September Payment Plan: $600 (1-15 February 2017) Confirms your spot on Tour and guarantees tour kit This is non-refundable! $1000 (16-31 March 2017) $1000 (1-15 May 2017) $600 (1-15 July 2017) Late entries to the tour will be considered if there is enough space, however the advertised price cannot be guaranteed and will likely increase overtime Fundraising: Fundraising initiatives will be run throughout the year to help subsidise the trip and minimise money spent on the ground and possibly the cost of the tour itself. Those that help the most with fund raising will reap the most benefits of the money raised, with money raised split between the whole tour group and the individual who raises the money. Possible opportunities include: Raffles at home games next year or at the sponsor pub End of Season Tour Luncheon (see below) We are looking for a sub-committee of individuals to lead this effort.
