18 Investment Attraction Giant Tiger Warehouse / Distribution Centre Conditionally purchased nearly 300 acres of vacant land in the provincially certified Johnstown Industrial Park for new construction. GT and the Township are working diligently to clear the conditions with the expectation that the sale will be finalized early in the New Year. Facility will employ approximately 300 people to start. Project launch meeting has been held involving Township and Counties staff as well as planning consultants, engineering consultants and utility representatives Concept presented was for a campus-style installation with the access coming from a new Township roadway to be constructed 160 metres north of County Road 2. Intent is to have "shovels in the ground" by March 31, 2016 and the building in use within 24 months of that.
