Then you should go off at the stop called Muzeum Powstania Warszawskiego. Participants will be picked up by Emilia Piechowska on 29 th April at 9 15 am. Our office is located an 8 minute walk from the Museum. Transfer from Warsaw Chopin Airport Warsaw Chopin Airport is located in the city and is served by both public transport and taxi. By bus There are several busses going from the airport. Transfer from Warsaw Modlin Airport Warsaw Modlin Airport is located 35 km north-west from Warsaw. It takes a bit more than one hour to reach the city from there. By train To get to Warsaw from Modlin Airport you can use bus and train (Koleje Mazowieckie). Special airport buses in the colours of Koleje Mazowieckie run from Modlin railway station to Warsaw/Modlin Airport terminal every minutes. Bus timetable is coordinated with

3 arrivals and departures of trains. Ticket price for bus and train is 17 PLN (4 EUR). Ticket includes also using public transportation in Warsaw up to 60 minutes. There is no need to book the ticket in advance. You can buy it on the airport using special machines. You can find more information here: By bus To get to Warsaw you can also use Modlin Bus. Prices vary from 9 to 39 PLN (2 to 9 EUR). You can book the ticket in advance (then it is usually cheaper) or buy it in special point on the airport. More information you can find here: By Taxi Companies recommended by the Warsaw/Modlin Airport for passenger service of taxi services are SAWA TAXI and TAXI MODLIN. Fares for travel from Warsaw to Warsaw/Modlin Airport are fixed. t shouldn t cost more to go to the city center than 159 PLN (37 EUR). Phone numbers: SAWA TAXI TAXI MODLIN Tickets for public transport in Warsaw Public transport is very cheap in Warsaw. Single ticket (for 75 min. during which you can also change means of transport) price is 4,40 PLN (app. 1 EUR). If you plan to use public transport while staying in Warsaw we advise you to buy 24-hour ticket which costs 15 PLN (3,5 EUR). If you plan to stay in Warsaw for the weekend you can also consider buying weekend ticket which is valid since 7 pm on Friday to 8 am on Monday and costs 24 PLN (5,5 PLN). Taxis When using taxis in Warsaw, it is strongly recommended that you only use taxis with the following: the symbol of Warsaw a mermaid on both front doors, yellow/red stripes affixed to the glass along the front doors, a number stuck to the side of the vehicle, a hologram with the license number and the vehicle s registration number on the upper righthand corner of the front glass and a sticker with price information per kilometer that has to be displayed on the glass of the right-hand side back door. Current prices (maximum rates legally permitted): Initial/starting fee - 8 PLN Day fare, in the urban zone - 3 PLN per km Night fare, in the urban zone, and day fare on Sundays and holidays PLN per

4 km Day fare, in suburban areas - 6 PLN per km Night fare, in suburban areas, and day fare on Sundays and holidays - 9 PLN per km 1 hour in which the driver waits for the passenger - 40 PLN Always type the prefix 22 when dialing a five-digit number on a mobile phone. The onlycurrency accepted is Polish Złoty (PLN). Rates (on 13 th of March) 1 EURO = 4,28 PLN 1GBP= 5,53 PLN Credit cards In most of the places (shops, restaurants, bars) you can pay with credit cards (Visa, Visa Electron, Maestro, Mastercard are accepted-for sure). Usually you can use credit cards to buy tickets for public transport (also in the bus). It is good to confirm if you can pay by credit card when you call for a taxi, because it is not always possible.
