3 Snowshoes safari and other sport activities Snowshoe trip To get totally away, you need go to the nature! To put on snowshoes and go to the surrounding forest you will find a totally different world and you will have time to explore the nature of Messilä hills. Animal tracks on the snow, snowy trees and the joy of walking off-track in the deep snow are experiences to remember. We meet on the front of the hotel, from where we head for the storage. There we hand over the snowshoes and go through the walking technique. We recommend hiking shoes as your own footwear. There are different kinds of routes available depending on your wishes and weather conditions. This trip takes 1-3 hours. Price: 10 persons 350. Each person more pays 25. The price includes guidance, equipment and VAT of 10 %. Nordic walk We meet in front of the hotel. After handling over the equipment we go through the nordic walk technique. Then it is about the time to go for a walk to enjoy the beauty of the nature. The pace is suitable for everybody and the tempo is unrushed. On the way we give further instructions for efficient walk. Our walk ends to where we have started. The trip takes about 1 to 2 hours, depending on the size of the group. Price: 10 persons 350. Each person more pays 25. The price includes guidance, equipment and VAT of 10 %. Night wander The moonlight, stars, and of course the white shiny snow will be something special for you to see in the silent, snowy forest. Also the soft light of lanterns creates a warm atmosphere. We hike in the light of lanterns from Messilä to the camp, where we stay for a while to enjoy the warmth of the campfire, hot juice and biscuits. (Servings are not included in the price. Invoicing through Messilä). The route to the camp is easy to hike and its length can be adjusted to the needs of each group. The hike takes about 1 or 2 hours. Price: 10 persons 350. Each person more pays 25. The price includes guidance, equipment and VAT of 10 %. Working ability in the winter with a lot of fun We meet in front of the hotel. After we took a welcome juice, we check through the equipment. At first we are moving all together to the stables to practice our riding. We are training walking and running speed. Everything is planned so that also first timer can learn it. From stables we continue walking to the storage where we take snowshoes with us. The route up to the peak of Laaso and the fireplace will be depending on our condition. Over there we can take for example hot salmon soup with dark bread. After finishing lunch we put the snowshoes in our bags and take the sledges. We are going down the Laaso hill, witch will be about one kilometer long. Down we will drive with the all-terain-vehicle after the guide was telling about the rules of driving. (It is up to driver to remember drive slowly) 3 persons can drive at the same time, the others can for example make a fire and boiling water for coffee and tee while waiting their turn. After driving we are taking the snowshoes again and walking towards the garage, where we are leaving the equipment. We walk back to the hotel to end the day. Snowmobiles insurance fee is 580 which is invoiced from ordering person in case of accident. Trip to the 3 fireplaces This round is planed as nice and relaxing moment in nature. We start in front of the hotel and we walk throw the cottage village of Messilä, crossing the downhill slops, throw the forest to the first open fireplace. The fire will be ready. We continue walking to the top of Laaso, where we have a nice view. Over there, on the top of Laaso, is another fireplace and it doesn t matter if it is freezing outside, the fire will keep us warm inside. When we are walking down, we stop at a fire village, where it is nice to sit and enjoy the good food our chef 3

4 has made for us. The main fireplace is the Paja, but outside is 2 more. This is the ending of our trip. The Paja is located 200m from hotel. Round takes about 2 hours. Drive these Ferraris of the snowfields after meeting, for rewarding your customers or to spend a nice winter day just for fun. The new four-stroke technique does not smoke or smell. It is much more silent than old two-stroke and the power speak for itself! When you want to offer snowmobile this is the best you can get! Interested? Book the time and get in business! Make your reservation early to make sure you have as many vehicles as you need. Snowmobiles are waiting for you in Messilä. Remember to inform us about any changes in the size of your group. The program takes about 2 hours: Our safari starts at the Safari-house in Messilä. To find the Safari-house take left from the main entrance and follow the Safari signs. Pass Markkinaravintola and you ll see us. Everything you need for your safari can be borrowed from us. Warm suites, boots, skiing masks, gloves and helmets. Then you will get introductions how to drive and control snowmobile in different conditions (including safety instructions, speed limits, route rules, hand signs etc.). Gentlemen start your engines! There are little boys and there are BIG little boys. The Safari starts easy until you get used to drive snowmobile. Everyone is happy and exited when the red line is moving! Time for a break Having coffee, juice and sausages at a fireplace you choose. The options are smithy Paja close by Kartano or teepee on the top of Laaso hill with outstanding view over lake Vesijärvi. Here we go again! When the skills are getting better also the fun of driving is growing! We are driving the roads in the way that there is challenge for everyone. The most important thing is that everyone has a good time! Take your camera with you to make your friends at home jealous! Everything needs to end When the time is up we ll drive back to the Safari House. Changing the clothes and the evening can start with sauna, good food and refreshments. MORE PROGRAMS: Over ten people in the group and everyone want to drive Douple safari: Drive both, snowmobile and ATV. Lets split your group in 10-person-teams. One group is taking the snowmobile and the other the ATV. After 50 min we are changing at a fireplace. Non-stop activities On a winterday we have activities at different places in Messilä. The snowmobiles are ready for a part of the group for 30-min driving. Note: The driver has to be over 15 years and needs at least a motorbike driving licence on public routes. Snowmobile driving is only allowed on marked routes. The maximum speed on the ice is 80 km/h, on the terrain 60 km/h. The blood alcohol level has to be 0 promille. Our service company is Bike point, authorized by the importer. Snowmobiles and ATV s are always in good condition. In order to avoid accidents please follow the instructions of our guides carefully. Jump Up Oy holds the rights for changes. Changes can be done without charge 7 days before the event. Cancellations after that we charge 50 % of the price. Cancellations less than 3 days before charge is 100 %. 5

6 All-Terrain-Vehicle driving in Messilä ATV is made for driving where are no routes and the terrain is difficult to drive with any other vehicle. ATV is going nicely forward on every terrain. Messilä hills and enviroment are excellent for driving all through the year. Automatic, 4-strock technic, when needed you can use 4-wheel- they have it all just drive it. ATV are easier to controll than snowmobile. Interested? Book the time and get in business! Make your reservation early to make sure you have as many vehicles as you need. We can spilt the group and have an ATV safari and a paintball game. For example 20 persons are having a paintball game while 10 persons are driving. Chaining after 50 minutes and everyone stays busy. One group is taking the snowmobile and the other the ATV. After 50 min we are changing at a fireplace. Non-stop activities We are prepering different activities for you. The instructions of Jump Up guides should always be followed. We are checking everyones alcohol level before driving. It s forbitten to drive in the influense of alcohol or drugs. Every driver needs to sign up a paper where they agree to follow the given rules. Driver must be at least 16 years old. ATV s are always in good condition. To drive a Go Kart you need to have a normal car drivers license. 7 FOR DRIVERS TO READ AND SIGN For everything to go as planned here are some rules and instructions which the leader of the group or person who makes the order should share with all drivers beforehand. The instructions of Jump Up guides should always be followed. Listen to the instructions carefully and ask immediately if something is not clear. Everyone is driving sometime for the first time. Don t drive over your skills. It s suppose to be fun but avoid unnecessary risks. Before every safari we are testing everyone blood alcohol level. It is forbidden to drive in the influence of alcohol or drugs. Every driver needs to sign this form where they agree to follow the given rules. The snowmobile or atv driver has to be over 18 years and needs a valid driving licence on public routes. Diving is only allowed on marked routes. 10 All about fun - Summer and Winter Paintball game Interesting war game with using semiautomatic paintball guns. Two teams fight each other in the forest area. Winner team is the one who takes enemies flag from their home base or the one who kills all the enemies. Bullets have colourful paint inside and when you get hit you have a paint stain on your clothes. You will get clothes from us. Wild Moose chase This program is planed that the whole group needs to work together to reach the goal. This chase is suitable for groups who are familiar with the games or for this who needs introduction. The nice route in wilderness near Messilä is suitable for people of all fit. Duration: 2-3 hrs Program: We meet in front of the hotel. There we hand over the equipment. Task: after checking the equipment, the group will be divided into smaller ones. Directions, maps, radiophones will be with on your way. Starting in three different routes. On the way there is a mission to act together as a team and shoot at a moose pictures (one at a time, the names and results will be write down) After this the group is orienteering forward towards Laaso fireplace. Over there the group is building up a fire, makes sticks for sausages, boiling water for tee and coffee and grills sausages. Results of the shooting are announced. Each group goes to different station does one task after another like the instructions are saying. Task: Shooting, Lasso, riding, country-dance The event takes about 2 hours. The route is the same for everybody. Radar will measure the speed of a fleeting bobsled. At first there will be a warm-up and after that the actual race with 2 measurements. Before you can enjoy your trip down you need to climb up to the top of the hill. A helmet is recommended to your own safety. This race takes about 1 or 2 hours. Price: 10 persons 440. Conquest of mounts Messilä Conquest starts in front of the hotel of Messilä where GUNTHER or HEIDI is welcoming the group. We check the droops, equipment and route. Conquers will take a Jägermeister snaps for good luck and courage. The route goes from Laaso throw the forest where we reach the base camp. We have come up about 50 meters. In base camp we recommend German food- Knödelsoup, or other traditional food and wine/beer. After resting we are heading towards last and demanding trip to the tent of Laaso witch is located in top of the mount Messilä. On top we will take a drink for the conquest of mount Messilä. After this we are getting together in front of flaming fire for sausages and beer. On the way down from Laaso we are having sledge or Bob-sledge-race. We are sliding all the way back to the storage where we leave all staff and the evening continues in sauna or food service at the Paja. Ice fishing We will walk from Messilä hotel to the Vesijärvi Lake, where we try to catch fish through the hole in the ice. On the ice we discuss the tricks of ice fishing and just enjoy each other s company. Of course, we also find the time for a little coffee/tea break. This nice trip takes approx. 2 or 3 hours.
