Scenic transfer by snowmobile drawn sleighs to amethyst mine. Visitors are invited in the wooden houses, covered with snow outside but warm inside! Here you will learn about this purple variation of quartz which was formed about 2000 million years ago, deep inside the ancient mountain. While sipping warm beverages, guide will lead you to the fascinating world of amethyst. At the mine you ll dig your own lucky stone. SNOWMOBILE SAFARI TO REINDEER FARM (10:00-13:30) Wed, Sat Turn onto the snowmobile track and follow it through the snow-covered nature to a local reindeer farm. Reindeer husbandry is an important livelihood in Lapland. At the farm the reindeer owner has carefully selected group of reindeers trained for sledge-pulling. The reindeer herder will demonstrate how to drive a reindeer sledge, and then it is your turn to take quick 1-km ride. Coffee or tea will be served at the farm. 2 4. SNOWMOBILE SAFARI TO HUSKY FARM (14:30-17:30) Wed (9:00-12:00) Fri If you like huskies and snowmobiles, this safari is for you! After a brisk snowmobile ride, you ll come to the husky dog farm where the dogs will welcome you with friendly barking. Experience a thrilling 4 km ride in a sled pulled by a team of huskies. Hot beverages are served around a campfire on the farm. DURATION: 3 hours PRICE: 155 /person 5. FISHING EXPERIENCE BY SNOWMOBILE (10:00-13:30) Mon (12:30-16:00) Thu, Sun Ice fishing safari to a wilderness. Head to wilderness on a snowmobile trail through snowy forests, where you can admire the beautiful surrounding countryside of Lapland. Follow the trail through white, snow-covered fields to arrive at suitable ice fishing spot. The silence will envelop you as you prepare to go fishing. With some luck we might see the Northern Lights dancing in the sky above us! After a short transfer by car, we ll arrive at a husky ranch, where these friendly dogs will bark an enthusiastic welcome to you. Before departing on the safari, you will be given instruction on how to control the sleds, which you will ride in pairs. Children over 140 cm in height are allowed to sit on the snowmobile when paying the adult price. SAFARI PRICES INCLUDE: All snowmobile safaris include thermal outfit, guide services in English, each snowmobile shared by two guests taking turns in driving, fuel, traffic insurance (maximum personal liability 980), maintenance and VAT. The driver of a snowmobile has to be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver s licence. Note: Self liability can be reduced to 150 by paying waiver supplement 15 per driver per safari. Solo driving possibility, cost varies depending on the safari, between 1-4 h 45/per person 4- h 85/per person GENERAL TERMS: Snowmobile safaris are subject to change due to weather conditions. As a responsible safari organiser, Lapland Safaris CE Ltd reserves the right to change the routing, pricing and the duration of the excursions without prior notice. Lapland Safaris CE Ltd reserves the right to interrupt a safari if a participant is seen as a potential danger to him/herself or to others or is in poor health. Prepaid safaris will not be refunded. The driver of the snowmobile is held liable for damages caused to the vehicle. The maximum personal liability is 980 per person/snowmobile/accident case. Pregnant women should not use snowmobiles or sledges pulled by snowmobiles as the vibrations and exhaust fumes may be harmful. If the programme requires special arrangements (e.g. additional transport), the extra costs will not be covered by Lapland Safaris CE Ltd
